I have been taking Quinapril for many years, but cannot get it in Malaysia, so now take Perindopril. I have also suffered from occasional gout for years - but recently attacks have become much more frequent (every couple of weeks). Could this be the Perindopril? ## Yes, it certainly may be due to the Perindopril. Most blood pressure medications can cause excess uric acid levels that result in gout and sometimes you have to play around to find one that works for you, without being a literal pain. The bottle says quinapril, but this does not look like any photos of quinapril that I see. ## This tablet is manufactured by Lupin Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 20mgs of Quinapril, which is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure, and certain cardiac conditions. This is a new drug for me, ## Accupril contains the active ingredient Quinapril, which is an ACE inhibitor that is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure, and certain cardiac conditions. Checking to see if I can take Contrave along with Buspar, Effexor, Metoprolol and Quinapril? I have put on weight and would like to try Contrave if there are no side effects with the above medications. ## Hello, Jeanne! How are you? No, according to FDA Contrave should not be taken with Buspar, since it can increase the risk of your experiencing seizures, and not with the Quinapril, because it can increase the risk of negative effects on your liver/liver damage. However, if you want to lose weight, there are other options you can discuss with your doctor. Your weight gain could be due to the Effexor, and/or Metoprolol, so it might be solved by simply changing medications. small white pill. one side says IG and the other side says 267. its a rounded shaped pill. ## The imprint IG 267 confirms this pill to be Quinapril (5 mg). However in the drug databases, it is noted to be brown and not white. Quinapril is used in the treatment of hypertension and congestive heart failure.
