I take the Qualitest brand of Norco 7.5/325 and find it superior to Watson Any others agree with this opinion, or have different thoughts? ## I do not like Qualitest at all - it makes me feel like sleeping so I can't take it during the day. Watson NEVER did that to me - I can't find any pharmacies to fill my Rx with Watson any more. So bummed. ## I think Watson has recently changed formula... I used to agree with you that Watson was superior, but within the last six months I've noticed a profound change it. ## I haven't been able to buy Watson in quite a while but I believe you - I feel that every generic I have purchased does NOT work like Watson used to. I think they've changed the formula/strength without telling anyone, that way people have to buy more to get the...

Has anyone experienced a total change in the effect of these after having used them with no problems for quite some time? These are completely different. I need to know if this is permanent before I get another prescription. It was the only one I could take and now I can't. Also, is anyone currently using non-generic Norco? Does it work well? Thank you. ## Hello, Evie! How are you? What seems to have changed with them? You didn't list the markings on them, so I can't research them for you to double check, though I gladly will, if you post back with this additional information. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Does anyone know of a good generic brand of norco 7.5/325? I have tried Qualitest an it doesn't work very well. My DR. approved brand name but the cost was $191.00 up front before they would even order it ... I realize there is a drug problem, but what are old people with serious back problems suppose to do? ## Hello, Nicki! How are you? That's unusual, most pharmacies keep a small supply of the name brand on hand for when someone comes in with such a prescription. What did the pharmacist say, or did you try calling any other local pharmacies? The FDA warns that this medication carries a risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Qualitest always worked well for me, but everyone is different. Can anyo...

I have experienced many generic brands, including Watson and Qualitest. My pharmacy just changed to the Amneal brand 10-325 hydrocodone/APAP. I am just not sure what to think about this. The pills have an IP on them. What have been the experiences of others taking this specific generic brand? ## Because these drugs can affect each individual differently, my opinion is that trial and error through one's own personal experience is the only way to accurately judge the efficacy of a specific tablet. On the other hand, I do get the sense that some brands/generics are manufactured with less quality inactive ingredients than others, potentially making them more prone to cause side effects or placebo-like responses from varying degrees of bioavailability. I haven't taken the Amneal bran...

Need advice! I came to this site with the same issue, over a year ago - I'm one of unlucky people that has extreme sensitivity to "fillers" in most white colored norco 10-325 generic. I FINALLY found the dark yellow Qualitest. It was a VERY PAINFUL 3 month struggle! Now, with currant conditions, can't find this brand anywhere near me! Really need HONEST advice regarding any generic manufacturer that is well tolerated by ONLY PATIENTS WITH MY SIMILAR ISSUES PLZ. The malencrap & aurobindo were the worst. They gave me migraine headaches & sick to stomach. If someone has similar issues AND KNOWS OF A BRAND that is GOOD, please let me know. I'd be grateful. If need be I can have my Dr change the Rx to Vicodin or Vicoprofen. I just need a GOOD manufacturer name to ...

This is a yellow, oval, and on the scored side says 36 / 01. the unscored side has a symbol kind of like an upside down V . ## HI, Kathy! That's actually a V on the other side, it's the logo for Vintage/Qualitest pharmaceuticals and yes, this tablet contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, it is a generic for Norco, Lortab, Vicodin and others. This medication has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Learn more Vicodin details here. Is there anything else I can help with?

I've been taking Norco 10/325 for quite some time and have noticed a MAJOR difference in quality and effectiveness between manufacturers. To me the Mallinckrodt 367 are the most effective all around. Interpharm/Amneal (same company /have merged) IP110 version comes in second for me. Watson seems to be the worst with noticeably much less effectivepain relief and with me seems to act more like a sedative, knocking me out which sucks when you want to be functional/productive. Qualitest is okay but seems to be similar to the Watsons only with less sedation. Personally if the pharmacy doesn't carry Mallinckrodt or Interpharm/Amneal then I won't fill my prescription there. I know this subject has been discussed here many times before but I figure since the recent apparent formula ...

Only the Watson Norcos work for me and now my insurance will not cover Walgreens which is the only pharmacy that carries them. I've tried Amneal Norco, Qualitest Norco, and Mallinckrodt Norco. NONE of them work unless I take 1.5 tablets. I have learned that it is PERFECTLY LEGAL for generic drugs to contain ONLY 80% of the active ingredient, which is clearly why I need 1.5 tablets! (How is this legal?! It is shameful, is what it is!!!!!) Unfortunately, if I take 1.5 per dose, I will run out of them before my next doctor appointment. Please help! Is there ANY generic Norco besides Watson that contains 100% of the active ingredient included in the brand-name Norco? Otherwise I have to pay $95/month IN ADDITION to my very expensive insurance. I will have to quit paying for insurance in...

I would like to find a pharmacy in Albuquerque NEw Mexico that carries Qualitest 10/325. They work best for me. I was prescribed norco 10/325 for my back pain. The pharmacy dispensed the generic by Amneal. THAT is the worst generic for Norco I have ever taken!! It is pure crap made in India!! I had the worst reaction! I will NEVER take this shyt ever again!! Please let me know of any pharmacys that dispense the Qualitest. Thank you so much. Kimber ## Hello, Kimber! How are you doing? I have been taking Hydrocodone-Acetominophen 7.5-325 for years for degenerative disks in my back. The generic Aurobindo tablets don't work for me and make me nauseated. Applause go to: Mallinckrodt. Mallinckrodt manufactures that same prescription (white pill M366) and they are the only ones I have found that actually work with no unpleasant side effects. I really wish my pharmacy hadn't switched manufacturers. I am extremly disappointed in Aurobindo generic for Norco. The other one that didn't work was orange with a V on one side and 36|05 on the other, manufactured by Qualitest. It was garbage, just like the Aurobindo. ## I've probably just read 50 reviews on Hydrocodone 10-325's & you're the first person that actually has something good to say about Mallin...

Qualist manufacturer has a pill that states it to be a 5/325 the reads reads v 3604. To my knowledge I thought anything with the # 325 in it is usually a norco ## Hello, Reb! How are you? The V doesn't stand for what the tablet contains, that is just the manufacturers logo, so having a V on it does not make it Vicodin. The V stands for Vintage Pharmaceuticals, they were purchased by Qualitest several years ago and there are many pills with the V logo that don't contain narcotics of any type. Additionally, Norco is just a name brand for a certain combination of Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone….while it was originally ones that just contained 325mgs of Acetaminophen, with several doses of the Hydrocodone, since it is available as a generic now, they are pretty much all just us...

These are identical to the yellow v 3601 we have all came to prefer. I was worried they would be like the new white watson's but am totally relieved they haven't messed with the fillers or generic variance allowed on hydrocodone like Watson has supposedly done. Walmart carries this new white V 3601 and qualitest is still the only brand to rely on when it comes to a pain pill that actually works as it should. Anyone who says this new 3609 norco is like Watson's worthless whites are crazy. I have probably taken over 30,000 norco pain pills the past 15 yrs for a messed up back and have never abused them or exceeded the daily limit of acetaminophen. I don't drink or smoke and am in decent shape. Liver enzymes are great...I hate morphine and oxycodone so thank God qualitest s...

Hi: I have been taking 36 01 v generic norco by Qualitest for a couple years now, due to a long list of pain issues. Since the Fed Law has been changed and I can no longer get refills on my prescription, I was also informed by my pharmacy they no longer carry the yellow 36 01 v and wanted to give me ip110. I finally found a pharmacy that had 70 of the yellow and gave me 20 of the white ip110. I find the white ip110 does not work well at all. I felt them a little faster but they are not as string and wear off very quickly, unless I double up on it. Why have all pharmacies stopped carrying the yellow 36 01 v? Also is there a difference with hydrocordone Bitartrate? I took white ones a few years ago (1 a day though was 3x's a day) and it gave me heart palpitations. So of course I'm...

White Watson 10/325 Norco is ineffective and did not show in my system! How did that happen??? I want my yellow Norco back. Anyone know who carries these nationally? ## Qualitest is the yellow one. The white ones do not work. ## Pharmacies vary on the generics they carry. They may carry one generic this week and not have it again for a few weeks, months or the rest of the year. You have to call right before you go and ask to speak to the Pharmacist. Ask the Pharmacist if they carry a particular generic brand. Be sure and tell the Pharmacist how many tablets your prescription is for and the mg. If you can't get this info over the phone, ask to speak to the Pharmacist Before you turn your prescription in. ## Is the (yellow 3601 V) Better then the White Watson ## @Brad, The overall con...

I have been on pain management for 10 years due to severe car wreck. I have taken all of the generic brands in the past and to me the yellow watsons r the best followed by qualitest with the mallins not worth taking. So last month i go to docs get scripts and go to walgreens to get my norcs, i get my pills and notice that they were white, So i take a couple and nothing, i take two more, nothing! So im stuck with them all month and everytime i took them nothing, Watson is now Activis or whatever, All i know is that they r not watson norcos, they might have the name and numbers but they r not the real deal. So this month i went to a different pharmacy that sells the qualitest yellow norcs with the v on them. They r waay better than the white watson/activis norcs. So from now on, i will get...

personally i think, the DEA, is cracking down, i know the doctors are scared their gonna lose their license, where i live they are getting ridiculous about it! there is an epidemic, which in return is ruining it for us folks who really need the stuff to just even feel a little comfort from excrutiating pain, there is even a brand called "qualitest" for God sakes! not positive, but i believe, food and drug adm., are lowering the strength, to get american's off the drug!!!!! ## From what I've seen, Watson does have a yellow and white version of their "853" generic Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone tablets. They list the dosage as still being 325/10 in the newer white ones, however, there have been numerous complaints from patients who have tried both versions, saying tha...
