Q Act Drops
100+ Topics FoundI'll be having cataract surgery soon. Is there a natural eye drop that would act the same as the ridiculously overpriced prescription one? It's an antibiotic. And there are 2 others that are prescribed for inflammation I think....all totally 400+ dollars in the US. Thanks so much! ## Hello, Anna! How are you? No, there is nothing over the counter that would be the same. However, you could explain the expense to your doctor and ask them about possibly prescribing cheaper alternatives. The FDA lists the typical side effects of most eye drops used after such surgery as possibly including eye burning, stinging, redness and tearing. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thank you. The expense is one thing more on principal, really...gouging comes to mind. However, I'm not on...

I accidentally put systane eye drops n my nose thinking it was my saline, is this dangerous? Should I go to doctor? ## Hello, Cindy! How are you? It would actually be more risky the other way around, since nasal drops are not sterile like eye drops. Since these are just lubricating drops, there's likely nothing to worry about, but you may experience runny nose and some nasal irritation, as reported by the FDA. Did you experience any adverse effects? When in doubt, it's always best to check with your doctor, your nearest urgent care or call poison control.

I've been on Durezol for 1-1/2 years for Iritis. I've had 6 eye surgeries in 2 years-2 macular holes, 2 cataracts, 2 eye shunts because of high IOP. I've gained 17 lbs. When you drop Durezol then pinch your eyes, you still get Durezol running into your tear ducts which then goes right into your system. Can't be helped. But also because Durezol makes your vision blurry and your eyes light sensitive, I've not been as physically active as I was prior to my eye surgeries and I went into a little depression. I think that is reason for my weight gain and maybe others.

its side effects, I am 27yrs 9 months old, doctor has prescribed this eye drops, advised to use this 8 times daily, each times 2 drops, gradually decrease the amount, total course is 15days. along with this he has advised to use pentol eye drops 3times daily for 15 days. can you please tell me what are the side effects it has. ## The active ingredient in Predmet eye drops is Prednisolone, it is a corticosteroid. Since they are drops, little is usually actually absorbed in the body, so side effects are minimal, but may include: eye irritation, blurry vision, nausea and fluid retention. Pentol contains the active ingredient Cyclopentolate and, to be honest, I am not sure why the doctor has you using them regularly, because they are normally used to stop the eye from focusing to enable t...

A friend said that it is something new.red liquid drops you put on your tongue when having a heart attack, instead of the tablets.they also have a longer expiration date than the tablets ## The drops are probably a new form of the more traditional treatment. Here is some additional info about how nitroglycerin work in the event of a heart attack. Nitroglycerin is a chemical that opens up (dilates) arteries and veins and increases blood flow to the heart. During heart attack, Nitroglycerin can be placed under the tongue, where it quickly dissolves and is absorbed into the bloodstream. Nitroglycerin also can be administered via continuous intravenous (IV) infusion; applied to the skin in cream or patch form, where it is slowly absorbed; or administered as short- or long-acting nitrate pill...

so far I've only found one site by the name of versandapo, mentioning anything about them. there is no option to buy as it says prescription only, but at least its good information for those looking. best bet is to find a chubby friend over in germany to get the script and fedex the drops to you. ive been googleing german pharmacy on the internet. good luck and let me know if you can find out more. ## Based on my research, Alvalin is available by prescription only in Germany... so like you said, I believe going there in person is probably the only way you're going to get ahold of it legitimately. Eye drops for Pink Eye ## My daughter was prescribed sulfacetamide 10% for her pink eye. She had no eye discharge before she began to use it. She has only been on the meds for one day. Now her eye has a yelow discharge that if left to long will not allow her eye to open. Is this an allergic reaction or has her pink eye turned bacterial? Or should I just be patient and run the course of Antibiotics and then go back if needed. ## In regards to the post from mother of 5, it may have been due to her daughter being sensitive to sulfa, since this a sulfa based medication.
