Prozac To Viibryd

I have tried several anti-depressants and have yet to feel better. Started with Xanax years ago but only took it for a little while. Didn't take anything for 20 years. Now within the last two years I have tried Effexor, prozac, welbutrin and now viibryd. Only been on it for 3 weeks and still feel crappy. Mood is ok but so fatigued that I about can't go. I had an episode 9/13 where I became unresponsive and then was just in and out. I felt drugged and numb. Had weened off prozac and started viibryd. After spending 4 hrs in ER and having blood and urine evaluated and X-rays the dr said he thinks it may have been a reaction because of prozac was still in system. Hello I was on effexor xr 75 mg for 5 years then went to celexa 20mg for a month. Then decided to go cold turkey lasted 2 months. Psychiatrist put me on 20mg of prozac which almost drove me crazy lasted 2 weeks. Then started viibryd 10mg for 2 weeks felt really dizzy and wobbly on my legs.. I also feel when I close my eyes I'm on a rocking boat. I'm currently on 5mg i got changed psychiatrist and he mentioned viibryd is not on his list of medications so I might be switched again. HI I am on Viibryd for 4 months now and i have these terrible horrific nightmares that i am dyng or sufficating a kind of sleep parasis and it happens a few times a night to where I am aware this drug is causing it. However it happens maybe once a week or once every otherweek so should i just stay on 20 mg i decided to bring it down and go on prozac but i want to make sure i am making the rght dec w doctor of course. Over the past 15 years I've been on most all the anti-depressant medications on the market: effexor, celexa, paxil, cymbalta, wellbutrin, and prozac for a long time. I started with a new psychiatrist in January of this year and he started me on Viibryd (I'd been on 30mg prozac for the last ten years). He also put me on lamictal because, well, the more the merrier? Anyway, to make a long story short, I was doing pretty well on the Viibryd and Lamictal so I decided heck, I'll try and go off meds and see what happens. Just started Viibryd day 6 at 10mg, went off cold turkey 40 mgs of Prozac, and 50 mgs of Amitriptilene (spelled wrong)..I have been in hell..I'm lightheaded and feeling very aggitated, I kind of feel like I'm crawling out of my skin..But this is the worst part and my main question..I average 4 to 5 migraines a week and can usually get rid of them within 3 to 5 hours..I now have a migraine morning noon and night, has any one else while taking Viibryd, has your migraines increased...Thanks!! ## At this point, it's actually difficult to say whether the migraines may be from the Viibryd, or from stopping the other medications abruptly. I have been on 40 mg of Viibryd for 2 weeks now. Dreams every night as well. Not all nightmares but quite a few. I am still struggling massively with depression and anxiety. Panic attacks. I severely hate having to go to public places. I have lots of trouble focusing driving too. And my temper is severely scary. I snap so fast. Scared where my life is headed. ## I'm still not right. I used to be so happy and outgoing. Now i panic having to go places. Any little thing that goes wrong or a sudden change in my routine just screws my head up. Then I cannot think. I have been on Viibryd for 9 weeks. I am taking 40 mg's per day. First, I must say that I love this medication! It has saved my life - and I say that because I was on prozac for a year and while on it I was re-diagnosed with Recurring Major Depressive Disorder and was suicidal and hallucinating. Since I have been taking this medication, I no longer feel depressed, it is like the world is brighter. The only side effect that I have had is my empathy for people is completely gone. Before I was on Viibryd and before I became depressed I was a 'bleeding heart'. Now, I just do not care about anyone or anything. It can be used to treat anxiety and has successfully helped may people. Learn more Prozac details here. I've been taking viibryd for 3 months in place of Prozac. I've had a problem remembering my dose because of the "take w food" requirement.... sometimes forget to take it w dinner. Two times now while incredibly overtired, and when forgetting my dose, I have had the scariest experience. When falling asleep, the feeling of drowsiness is so strong, yes like paralysis, and then in my mind's eye I start to see "light bulb flashing" and then I hear voices, and worse my typical ringing in my ears can really kick up the volume! I struggle to open my eyes and even to take a gasp of air! What is this? Talk about really messed up. This is a warning to you all... A little bit about me first: I'm 6'3" and only 130 pounds. Naturally I am very susceptible to side effects of any drug. I also didn't have my first taste of alcohol until October 2011, which is when I turned 23. Throughout November 2011 I took Cymbalta. I also drank occasionally, but not often and not much. Cymbalta gave me a lot side effects such as an upset stomach, dizzyness, inability to sleep, etc. About mid-December I switched to Prozac, and took it through February. I have been on antidepressants for about 2 years, nothing helped me to sleep. I started taking 1.5 mg of Xanax before I go to bed and finally after all this time I am sleeping through the night. I still have dreams but they don't keep me awake. I feel fully rested and get a good nights sleep. I only take the Xanax at night and I don't take anything during the day, I don't feel any anxiety. I will never take anything else, all those other medicines i.e Zoloft, Viibryd, Prozac made me crazy. Hope this will help someone else. I have had varying degrees of depression for 25 years now. I have tried 6 or7 of the SSRI'S. Mostly Prozac. Most recently Zoloft. I have never found total relief of symptom with any of these meds. I am in a toss up betweem starting Pristiq or Viibryd. I'm not depressed, just very "on edge" all the time and irritable. I take Xanax as needed but i get the "hangover" effect if taken at night. Both drugs have scary side effects so i'm probably thinking way too much about it. I started viibryd about 5 months ago and after the starter pack and my first month on 40 mg I started have noises in my ears. Went back and he said 20 mg is just as good as 20. The noises are getting worse and he said it could be the viibryd but it suppose to be such a wonder drug he wants me to stay on it. Help! I have been on Viibryd, 20mg since Oct 2013. At first it made a wonderful improvement in my mdd, then in Jan - May 2014, I noticed I'd been having horrid headaches with severe neck and should pain. PCP ordered PT. Didn't help. May 19th,2014 I weaned from 20 to 10 mg dosage. The head and neck pain went away after two days, but then was hit with extreme pain in lower spine, along with terrible side affects. rapid heartbeat, very low bp, faintness, nausea,weakness.
