Pristiq Alcohol

I currently take pristiq 100. I've been taking it for about 7 months. I have found that alcohol had zero affect on me. I only seem to get tired! I have the occasional drink socially I'm not a big drinker. Has anyone else had this experience?? ## Hello, Haylez! How are you doing? I am prescribed Lyrica and Pristiq for Fibromyalgia and depression and oxycodone for occasional pain from knee replacements. I have on occasion drank 2-3 alcohol drinks while taking this combination with no problem but the past two times I am totally fine when I go to bed but I wake with the worst hangover and it lasts for days. The last time, 3 weeks ago I had 2 beers, took the oxycodone (10mg) an hour later, took the lyrica and pristiq 5 hours later before going to bed and woke the next day really hung over with nausea every time I moved my head too quickly and I've had headaches and my thinking has been foggy ever since. For 3 weeks!! Could this combo have damaged something in my brain? Has anyone experienced this, or heard of this? Will this go away? ## Combining the medications...

my dr just started me on pristiq today . i am also on 43 mlg of methadone are these meds safe to take together? ## My findings state that there are potentially unsafe interactions between these two drugs. I was on 50mg Pristiq and didn't realise I was having anger issues on days I forgot to take it. I was only on it due to injuries stopping me from working and suffering from pain and financial issues. It broke up my relationship. After the break up I went up to 100mg. After some months I started to space out/blackout in the afternoon on days I forgot to take it. I always took it at 7am. Well my partner and I had gotten back together and it happened a couple of times in the 4 or 5 weeks we were back together. The 3rd time was the only time I had alcohol the day I'd forgotten to take the Pristiq and I had a violent episode. My life is in ruin and no one is listening. They think I was just drunk.
