I have been taking pregabalin for over two years and yes I had put over two stne on. After a discussion with my pain consultant I understood a lot of the weight gain was excess water. I started taking homeopathic water retention tablets and these really helped. In the last month instead of my 150mg & 75mg at night and 150mg & 50mg in the morning my dose was changed to 200mg and 250mg tablets. My weight has piled on to what it was and more besides. I have been taking 50mg.of Lyrica 3 times a day for a pinched nerve in my lower back. Now my Insurance Co. said they will not cover Lyrica they recomend Gabapentin. I tried gabapentin 300mg. (instead of Lyrica 50mg.) the first time I used it, it made my heart pound so bad I could not use it, could I use a smaller mgs. of gabapentin. Use of this drug to for pain suppression from sciatica pain ## For fibro:I was on 25mg of lyrica then upped to 50mg. Had lots of blurred vision on the 50mg, which progreesed to loss of concentration. Brought myself back to 25mg, still have some blurred vision. but am taking it at night to sleep, the savella 12.5mg in am. Would like to connect & relate with people, who suffer from anxiety. I have just started sertaline. Been on prozac for years. And not long on pregabalin for chronic back pain (which I have learned is also for anxiety). I noticed that pregabalin was helping my GAD. I realized my anxiety hadn't been addressed. Not one to pursue I was left on prozac. My doctors put me on sertaline, she has started me on 50mg & told me I might feel I bit more anxious ! I have been on Lyrica for about 8 months now and I am having fantastic results. My dr is trying to increase my dosage and I have been doing it in 50 mg increments. I am up 100 more now in a month, for a total dosage of 400mg. I find that I have very bad recall and loss of my vocabulary during conversation. It eventually goes away, but I was wondering if anyone else has this? If it keeps up, I just may have to drop back down 50mg until I get used to it? That seemed to work that last time I had to raise it.BTW, I have nerve pain in my ribcage.
