a doctor once prescribed a small round pink pill about the size of a 200 mg ibouprofen. it was prescribed to me for my gout and it worked very well as i took it only when i had an attack. i was out of town at the time and now i no longer have the bottle of the doctors name. please help. ## The way a pill looks is entirely up to the whit and whim of the company making it, so unfortunately there are many, many pills on the market, both over the counter and prescription that could meet the description of a round pink pill. ip or o/c what is different ## Did you mean the OP marking? The original Oxycontin manufactured by Purdue Pharma bore the OC marking, with a number designating the dosage on the opposite side. However, they have discontinued it and released a new formulation that is intended to help prevent abuse and it has an OP on one side, with the number designating the dosage on the opposite.
