I am advised to take regestrone 5mg, 15 tabs 3 times a day for 5 days to regulate my periods. After how many days will I have my periods from the day I finish the course? I finished the course on Jan 18th and now it's Jan 28th. Do I still have to wait more days before checking? ## You period should start within 1 to 3 days of stopping the tablets. The U.S. FDA lists their typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability and PMS-like symptoms. I have pocd. My expected period date was on nov 1st and now its the 15th of nov. My doc advised me to take regestrone for 7 days twice daily to get my periods. After taking it twice yesterday and today in the afternoon I saw blood spots, so i thought i had gotten my periods back but it stopped and now I'm not bleeding anymore. What should i do? I am 36 yrs old . From the time I matured ( when i was 13 yrs old ) I have been having irregular periods and took various hormonal medication from my gynaec to regularise them. Till date after so many years I still have irregular periods. I am married for almost 10yrs and have not concieved. I get my periods once in 3 months and the flow is very heavy and lasts for more than a month . My gynaec has to prescribe hormones again for the flow to stop. Apart from physical exhaustion , I have to face lot of mental tension from my in-laws for my condition . The doctor says I have PCOD and prescribes me the hormones for either heavy bleeding or to induce menses when I dont get my periods for 3 months . How long can this continue . I have used regestrone tablet 5mg for 12 days twice for postpone of periods after stopped the tablet after 3days I got my periods but bleeding is not that much flow what is the reason for that. My age is 40 years normal if I got period on 2nd and 3rd day bleeding was there. But after taken this medicine and stopped but not that much bleeding. What is the reason for that. Always my periods are irregular but if i take regestrone for 3 days i get my periods. Hi... I have been getting irregular periods. This month when i got my periods on the 3rd my doctor gave me regestrone 5 mg and told me to start these after 22nd and to take 2 tablets each day for 5 days. I made a mistake and confused it with another tablet she gave me and started taking these on the 9th that was the 5th day of my period itself. My periods stopped on the 7th day and by now i've already taken 6 of these tablets... I'm really scared as to what will happen if i consumed these so early.
