i always thought the 512 percocets were real percocets not generic but found out they were generic. what do real percocets look like and is there any difference between the real percocets and the generics? ## Dr. prescribed Percocet, Pharm gave me generic Oxycod/apap 5-325. They do not work, I think drug store might have gave me wrong pills. They are large, round,one side says 512 the other side is scored. Have been taking pain meds for 8 years due to terrible back. Have had 4 back surgeries with 3 of them since 2014, the last one was August 2016 which was spinal fusion L4/5 with screws, plate, rod and pins! I have hepitus c and take 4 10/325 percocfts a day.Am I hurting my liver? ## Yes. You are taking 1300mg of acetominaphin (tylenol) each day which you should not be taking ESPECIALLY if you already have liver damage to begin with. Talk to you Dr. about removing the tylenol from your daily meds and trying something different. ## Have your doctor prescribed them for you, and are they monitoring you regularly? It isn't that it can't be taken, but you do have to be very cautious. Acetaminophen can be very detrimental, and could contribute to further liver damage, or liver failure. hello i have chronic back pain ive been on a bunch of pills and nothing seems to be working as of now im taking 4 percocets a day and this new thing called kadian 100 mg sustained release just asking what it compares to cuz i was just on hydro morph cotin 24 ml twice a day with 4 percocets just asking if this 100 mg kadian is just like a hydro cotin if it is like a hydro cotin what mg would my kadian 100 mg compare ## This is an old post, but kadian 100 is morphine - sustained release for 12 hrs- and is a very high dose. Hydromorphone is a stronger drug. You must have tolerance to high opioid doses to take Kadian 100 (or overdose is likely). I took it for years, but have gradually tapered down to 30 mg twice daily. It took about 2 yrs to taper that much.
