Why should I take Mortilium M when I do not have vomiting problem ? ## Aside from vomiting, this medication is used (orally, rectally or intravenously,) generally to suppress nausea, or as a prokinetic agent. It has also been used to stimulate lactation, and has been found effective in the treatment of gastroparesis, a stomach motility condition. Furthermore it can be used in patients with Parkinson's disease because, unlike metoclopramide, this medication does not cross the blood-brain barrier. My mother is 80 years with Diabetes and BP (Both under control with regular medication) for over 2.5 decades. Added to this she is also a Parkinson patient and is on Syndopa 110 – 3.5 tablets & Syndopa CR 250 1.5 tablets. She has a lot of anxiety as she is physically dependant and expresses a lot of tension / stress particularly when I have to leave for office during the mornings. Her confidence level is diminishing with a fear of falling down. 24 X 7 we have one of our family members attending to her for any physical support including her visits to the rest room. This apart she is also on anti-depressant like Ventab DXT 25 for 2+ years and a regular taker of Lonazep 0.25 (1/2 tablet) prior to taking bath. Lonazep provides her with some comfort & boosts her confidence temp...
Is it safe to give Dilaudid to patient who is on Levocarb 100/25, 12 pills daily and Levocarb CR 100/25, 6 pills daily? ## Hello, Janie! How are you? I didn't find any problems or interactions listed between these medications, but the final decision is always up to the patient and their doctor. The FDA classifies Dilaudid as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Are these the only medications they are on?
My mother has Parkinson's (we think) was on Sinimet and Carbadopaleva and they took her off of that and now put her on Abilify and Ultram and now she can't talk suddenly and cries and is suicidal. For 3 years we have felt she's been overdrugged. Her mind is OK until they pump more drugs in her. ## Low Dose Abilify increases dopamine and increases mood. High dose abilify blocks dopamine. It sounds like the doctor needs to reconsider the dose ASAP. See Below: How Abilify works: Burris KD, Molski TF, Xu C, Ryan E, Tottori K, Kikuchi T, Yocca FD, Molinoff PB.

My husband was prescribed Oxybutynin over two weeks ago, after a week the dose was increased to two tablets a day. He has Parkinson's disease and takes Sinemet and Ropineral. Over the past few days, his Parkinson's which was controlled has now spiraled to the point where his mobility and tremors are badly affected. Could this be connected to the Oxybutynin? This condition worsens as the day progresses. ## Yes, the NCBI actually does report that is has been known to worsen cognitive function in those that have Parkinson's. This has also been noted in studies by other groups, such as SafeRX, and some government clinical trials. What dosage is he currently taking? Why was it prescribed and what other medications does he take?
I have been taking 25/100mg carbo/levo, a yellow tablet. When I refilled my RX I was given a round pink pill with 'apo 131' on the pill. It doesn't seem to do the job the yellow pills did. ## WHAT IS CARBO LERVO PRECRIBED TO DO? ## APO 131 contains the same medication, however, there can be some differences in generic medications, the variations are slight, but some people are sensitive to the slightest deviation. You may wish to speak to your pharmacist and see if you can get the other tablets again, in place of these or talk to your doctor about prescribing with brand being medically necesssary. My mother had taken sinemet for about 6 years, but her doctor had recently changed it for Rytary because sinemet was not helping her anymore. Since she is taking Rytary 36.25 mg/145 mg 4 times a day, she had felt better except for the dyskinesia she had for the past month. However, she started feeling muscle weakness 4 days ago. It looks like she is starting to have dystonia in her left hip and leg. Im not pretty sure if she has that but she shows symptoms of such. She starts to have that symptom after the third dose of Rytary like after 2:30pm. I dont know if she has that because of the med side effects or she is having that because its part of the disease progression. Im honestly concerned about it. Can anyone tell me if dystonia or muscle weakness is one of the Rytary's side effe...
