I'm taking oxyneo 3x20mg dayly for fibromyalgia. Can I replace the oxyneo with Ralivia or Tramacet. At what reduction rate should this be done safely? ## Hi pibird, I have read of Oxyneo users switching to the medication Ralivia, so I'm sure it's possible. When it comes to the dosage you should really ask your doctor, since it will be based on a number of factors like medical history, age, weight etc.. If you'd like, you can post in this thread where other users discuss switching from Oxyneo to Ralivia: /Discuss/Oxy-Neo-235700_s2.htm I hope this helps! ## @pibird, In my honest opinion, switching over from such a high dose of Oxyneo (oxycodone extended release) to what's considered to be a much more noticeably weaker opioid, should probably be done under the supervisi...
hi. I just started oxyneo 10mg. Says on the bottle once a day. When would be the best time? Day or night?? Anyone? ## It depends on what works best for you. The U.S. FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, and constipation. So, some people do take it at night, so the drowsiness and dizziness are not as strong in the morning. Did your doctor provide any specific instructions?
my doctor prescribed oxyneo 40mg and the pharmacist told me they would cost $175. which I couldn't afford to pay for 60 tabs. Is this brand or is this generic, and should they offer to give me the other brand if available ## Hello, Heather! How are you? Oxyneo is the name brand manufactured by Purdue Pharma, it contains a controlled release formulation of Oxycodone, however, there is no generic available. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. It might be best to speak to your doctor to see if they can prescribe a cheaper alternative. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have been on Fentanyl for a long time. 3 weeks ago I kept a patch on for over a week without changing it and then took it off a day before going to the doctor. I had sweating, nausea, pain but I tolerated it. My doctor was upset that I did it but I was so desperate to come off of it, I would try anything. She put me on 12 mg patches for 2 weeks and then I was to go onto something else. I was having a horrible time with the low dose patch and put on a 25 mg 2 days before seeing my doctor. She has given me a prescription for Oxyneo 10mg to be taken twice a day. I'm wondering if I should keep the patch on for a week and during this time start the Oxy. Anyone had a similar experience? Can anyone tell me what their experience with Oxyneo has been? ## Hi Ritzi, Sorry to hear about your ...

My neck hurts a lot from surgery so my doctor put me on dilaudid 6mg extended release and 4 to 8 mg every 4 hours through out the day. 8 mg helps for about an hour. Should I discuss raising the extended release to 12 mg for more releif ? ## You need to tell your dr if the pain medication isn't helping the pain like it is suppose to. He is the best one to decide what changes need to be made. ## Thanks I will do that. I think if they raise my mg I should be ok. The doctor is starting me off at a low dose , then gradually move it up. Is 8 mg every 4 hours with 12 mg extended release every 12 hours a lot? Or is that dose ok?...

My doctor switched me from 125 fentanyl patches to OxyNeo 80 mg every 12 hours on Thursday. I wore new compression socks Saturday and removed them at bedtime. A couple hours later, my feet and lower legs were red and burning hot to the touch. I went to the ER, blood work is good. Could the red legs be a withdrawal symptom?

I take a oxy neo 20 mg at 930 am and want to know how long before i start feeling the effects and how long will it last in my system ## Hi maria, The amount of time it will take for you to start feeling the effects of OxyNeo is dependent on your own unique body chemistry and whether or not you eat food directly before/ after you take the medication. It shouldn't take more than an hour for the medication to make its way into the bloodstream..but if you do eat something with the medication that could make the process longer. The dosing information I found says that if you aren't taking any other opioid medications, you can take (20 mg) every 12 hours if necessary. Therefore, I imagine that 12 hours is the amount of time the effects are supposed to last. However, like I mentioned p...
