Are Oxycontin ABG 80 mg.still made? ## Hello, John! How are you? No, the only time released formulation of Oxycontin that is currently available are the name brand tablets manufactured by Purdue Pharma. Due to the increasing theft and diversion of this opiate, the generics were removed from the market several years ago, in order to enable the manufacturer, FDA and DEA to keep better track of the supply. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. 5mg oxycotin k 18 on one side an blank on the other. Small white round pill. ## I don't have a picture to post for you, due to copyright reasons. This is not actually an Oxycontin tablet, those are only available as the name brand and would have the OC or OP marking on them, with the number designating the dosage on the opposite side. This time released formulation is also not available in a 5mg dosage. The tablet you have, does contain 5mgs of Oxycodone, but it is the regular release tablet, which is the generic for Roxicodone. It may cause side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. Learn more: Are there any other questions?

Are this the same class meds? Same family? ## Yes, they both contain the narcotic Oxycodone. The difference is that the Percocet combines it with Acetaminophen, in the dose you mentioned it's 10mgs with 325mgs of Acetaminophen and it's a regular release formulation, while the Oxycontin contains 40mgs of Oxycodone, by itself, in a 12 hour time released formulation. They both can cause the same side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Read more: Are there any questions or comments?
