Got my script filled a few days and didn't notice til today that they're OPs. I've also been sick for the past few days - Do OPs make anyone else sick? Lightheaded, dizzy, sleepy, nauseous, flu-like, can't function. Have taken OCs for years and never had these problems. ## Yes, there have been many complaints that they are not as effective and that they cause odd side effects. I have PD with alot of broken bones. I have been taking Oxycontin for over 13 yrs. I am now taking Oxycontin CR 40 mg 4 X a day. I just had a refill and got the new type. With the old type I have had no problems. I started the new type this Thursday nite. I had a bad taste in my mouth shortly after I took it. On Friday I took my first dose with food still had bad taste and my vision got bured for about and hour or more. When I took my next dose I took it with water and the bad taste came and my eyes when bury again. I don't know what they changed but but something is right. need information ## This is a new product from Purdue Pharma and is replacing the original Oxycontin. It has been specially formulated to help prevent abuse, by retaining its time released properties, even if someone tries to alter it. Side effects are supposed to be the same: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Bought some gold metallic oxyckntin 40mg has anyone seen these??? R they real or fake bc I know the ones I seen r a yellowish color and not a metallic gold.... ## Hi Anna, Just wanted to let you know that this particular Oxycontin 40mg tablet is supposed to be yellow in color (as depicted in a number of different drug descriptions). The problem with going off some photographs on the internet is that certain displays or lighting can sometimes make them seem like their metallic or off by a few shades in tone. For verification you can always look up the National Drug Code, which would be 59011-0105 for this particular tablet. Were you getting these from a legitimate pharmacy?

Round pill, peach in color, kind of thick ## Watson Oxycodone 20 mg helped me- these pills that are thicker and labeeled one side only G162- suck! I am not sure if they are 20mg or 40mg but to be honest it feels like NO Milligrams whatsoever! We all have to go back to PERDUE Oxycontin anyhow they are not making generics of this anymore! ## G 162 IS NOT 40mgs! This is a 20mg Oxycodone tablet. I hope everyone will reply to my post. I 'am like thousand of good people who live in pain every minute of the day. And now since Purdue the makers of Oxycontin has reformulated the OC to OP we all suffer. I like all has called Purdue with my concerns not only a complaint on how this new Oxycontin does not work and its side effects. What I will do if I have enough people to respond is to set up a FACEBOOK page were people can add his or her story about how the OP do not work, what side affects he or she is having. Also where everyone can boycott any medication that Purdue sells. When at the Pharmacy ask the Pharmacist to give you another brand of medication not one made by Purdue. How long does it take for OxyContin 40mg CR taken twice daily to get in my system and provide full effect? I got my meds last on the 7th of august 2017 and all was good. They were put in my purse and my daughter came here with her friend who's a kleptomaniac (i was told after the incident). I always divide my new meds in half and keep the 1 half in my bag, and I buried the 2nd in a makeup bag at the bottom where you can't see them unless you're looking through it. And mind you, i gave no permission to go in my purse. I got up and literally ran to get water. Came back and noticed that my bag wasn't looking right but i didn't think much of it. So after i got some water she all of the sudden had to go and rushed out the door. Im perscribed OC 40 mg. with the OP on the market the OC became the generic Oxycodone 40 mg. The question is there is Oxycontin 40 mg in capsules. Basicly is that equal to the Oxycodone 40 without the buffer in it ## There is no generic for Oxycontin, both the one with the OC and the one with the OP marking are made by Purdue, they just reformulated to help prevent abuse and discontinued manufacturing the original that had the OC marking. Oxycontin contains Oxycodone in a time released formulation. As to the other formulations, no, there is none available in a 40mg dosage. The immediate release capsule is only available in a 5mg dosage and the regular release tablets are only available in a maximum dosage of 30mgs. Is there anything else I can help with?

Opana contains the active ingredient Oxymorphone and it is actually stronger than Oxycodone. If you were taking 40mgs of Oxycontin, you would only need 20mgs of the Opana. The side effect profile is similar: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. Round, Thick, Blue pill with capital 'S' on both sides. ## Sounds like a 25 mg Sominex, which is a light blue with a large S on each side of it. ## I need the company name that makes 40mg oxycontin but NOT PERDU PHARMA CAUSE THEY SUCKS ## At this time, there are no generic version of Oxycontin available. The only time released formulation approved in the U.S. is the original name brand manufactured by Purdue Pharma. They are horrible. Purdue pharma put too much filler and other stuff in them. They can pass right through your body in your stool, which happened to me. They can make you sick. They take way too long to work. I get about 6 hours and that's just calming my pain down. The docs will tell you they're 12 hour pain relief which is BULL, and the 80mg say 12 hours - Now how can that be? I've been through 6 failed lower back operations, damaged nerves, scar tissue on nerves, 5 deteriorated discs in my upper back, 3 severe multiple bone spurs sticking in my nerves and 2 bulging discs in my neck, and need both knees replaced. And my doc only wants me to take 2 a day. I only get 3 hours of sleep. I'm up at 1am or 2:30am and then take another dose at 9 or 10 am. I CANNOT go through t...

I am trying to find a pain doc in Central, NJ. I am taking 40mg of oxycontin three x a day and 15mg oxycodone 4 x a day for breakthrough pain and my doc dropped me for running out early after hurricane sandy bc my meds ended up floating in the shark river inlet so i got methadone so i wouoldnt be sick from the er doc. I was prescribed both Oxycontin & Oxynorm in 2006 for chronic back pain in 2006, as you would know our system builds up a tolerance to opiods. I ended up on 80 mg of Oxycontin, twice per day & 20 mg of Oxynorm 3 times per day and other meds also. I was still in pain, I believe the weather also effects pain. I slept most of the day & night and had no quality of life and terrible memory loss. It is now 2013 & In the last 2 years I have invested in a infa red sauna, a spa set at hydro temp 40 degrees & a TENS MACHINE.
