I have been taking percocets 10/325 for over a year now,I have had to quit my job of over 19 years due to the back pain and headaches etc.My question is can I get any help with the cost as I have no income and Medicaid will only pay for 6 scripts per month and they are wanting to add more scripts now and I cannot afford it.Please help! ## Hello, Billy! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in so much pain. Unfortunately, there aren't many means of additional help for those that have some form of insurance, including Medicaid. The only thing that might help is a prescription discount card or program. There is one on each page of this site, or when you submit a post you can sign up for it, you just print it and take it to your pharmacy to save money on medications. Alternatively,...

I have been taking Oxycodone for 3 years for my herniated disk in my upper back. I usually have been getting the ALV 196 (5mg) blue tablets but I can no longer find them at any pharmacy in Ohio where I live. The only brands that work for me are the ALV 196 or the IP 203 tablets. Does anyone know what pharmacy I can go to in Ohio to get the right perscription for myself? These are the only brands the help my pain. Please help! ## Hello Samantha, Truthfully there is no way for someone to tell you where to get these pills without living in your neighborhood. Pharmacies place orders for pills based upon the prices for that exact location, these prices will vary from store to store due to things like availability, timing, quantity needed, shipping prices etc. I've even seen some instance...

I'm in the middle of an appeal for disability with binder & the disability...each day that goes by things have gone down hill... FAST! I have been on Chronic Pain meds since a botched bowel resection in 1998. In between bowel surgeries, I've had one knee replaced & am now 5'1" with the new left knee & am 4' 10" on the right.. Then a few weeks ago my whole right arm went out. I also tend to fall over. even sith chrutches full time. Do you really think you can help me? ## Hi Sarah, I am so sorry to hear about your situation, that sounds really rough. If I can offer any advice, it would be to try essential oils for your pain. There are lots of people who have used essential oils for pain as well as many other ailments and have benefited from them. Essent...

I would like to view an oxycodone 30marked k 35. ## Hi Wes, From what I'm seeing online there doesn't appear to be an Oxycodone tablet with K 35 as an imprint, let alone 30mgs. The closest looking Oxycodone 30mg pill I found is round and blue with a marking of K | 9. It's also made by a company called KVK Tech; who would subsequently or seemingly be the maker of any similarly marked Oxycodone pills; however, there are none fit that description which leads me to believe that the marking was possibly misinterpreted based on a counterfeit/foreign/or different type of medication altogether. NOTE: There's also a round yellow over-the-counter pill with a K 35 marking that is reportedly identified as Acetaminophen (194mg) + Aspirin (227mg) + Caffeine (32mg). Any chance this cou...

Is this the same as taking Percocet yellow oblong pill one dide says percocet the other says 10/325 are they as strong? ## Hello, Kim! How are you? Yes, it is just a generic version of it. There can be slight fluctuations, as permitted under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, but the only way to see if helps you is by trying them. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have alleged Oxycodone pills that I'd like to verify. When broken in half and wet, they turn blue, with darker blue spots. They have T192 on one side and a line in the center. ## Yes, this tablet is manufactured by Camber Pharmaceuticals, and they list it as containing 5mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, it is a generic for Percocet. (NDC 31722-192). The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, and headache. Inactive Ingredients: - Silicon Dioxide - Crospovidone - Microcrystalline Cellulose - Croscarmellose Sodium - Povidone - Starch, Pregelatinized Corn - Stearic Acid - FD&C Blue No. 1 Ref: DailyMed ## What are the blue spots on the pill? ## T192 pill white with blue s...

Can u tell me how the np 13 yellow pill is different from light blue 15's? I understand u are saying they are both oxycodone, 15 mg', but there is something very different on relief recieved. Why would that be the case? ## Hello, Sherry! How are you? Under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, generics are allowed to differ from the name brand, in the amount of the active ingredient, by as much as plus or minus 20%. Additionally, generics are not required to measure against each other, only against the name brand, so that can sometimes create problems, if someone is sensitive to medications, any slight fluctuation could cause them problems. The FDA considers this an acceptable therapeutic window, and most people never experience a difference, but sometimes, it can cause a problem. The g...

Is there a list of name brands of Oxycodone 30mg that are rated by consumers from the best to worst? Meaning the meds that worked the best for most patients. ## The only name brand roxicodone has 54 199 imprinted on them and you can tell a huge difference. ## If such a list did exist, my guess is that it wouldn't be accurate enough to be useful, as we all react/respond differently to not only the active ingredient (based on tolerance, side effects, etc), but also the inactive ingredients that affect bioavailability and cause side effects as well. Some patients may even be hypersensitive to certain binders & fillers. That said, trial and error is really the only viable way to know for sure what works for you and what doesn't. If you do come across a manufacturer that does wor...

These Don t seem to be as effective as others I've been prescribed either in intensity or duration. Next time in given these I'll tell the pharmacy no thanks and go somewhere else ## I'm very sorry about the problem you've experienced. There can be fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredient in generic medications, as permitted by the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, so this one may be a little lower than the others you were taking. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Has anyone had a problem with these tablets? ## Yes I have I always had probems with zydus & zygenerics my 1st RX of pr 10mg (phoades Pharma...

what is the long term effect on your liver and other organs? I have had C-3 C-4 fusion 1986. L-4 L-5 fusion 2011. I have had shoulder surgery in 05.I'am taken oxycodone 7.5/500mg 3xa day and dilaudid 4mg 4 x a day and gabapentin 600mg 4x a day. He tells me that on a long term that oxycodon with out the tylenol in it will effect my liver. so why did he give me something with 500mg of Tylenol in it? just don't under stand. LOST ## I am not sure I understand why he would do that, either. The Acetaminophen is far more dangerous to your liver than the Oxycodone by itself. Learn more Percocet details here. I guess the better question is what type of doctor are you seeing? Is it a pain specialist or a general practitioner?

Have had back spasms and severe pain for awhile. All I have is regular naproxen which is doing nothing for my back. Would be interested in hearing how others have coped without opioids, and whether any recommendations can be made for finding reputable pain clinics and physicians who can still treat with oxycodone. ## I have serious severe pain all over my body from fibromyalgia, arthritis, and had a severe fall down cement stairs requiring surgery in 2015. I need a doctor who will prescribe me pain medication. It is too severe using just topical gel.. ## @Ulisa, Sorry to hear about your challenges with pain management. Just out of curiosity have you considered researching any natural alternatives such as Kratom or medical cannabis? The US National Institute of Health has clinical litera...

After breaking my back and neck in 1983 and ending up with bone fragments embedded in my spine , I had to have emergency surgery to repair 3 ruptured discs and to remove the bone fragments , I lost my job , house and car and pretty much everything else ! at first I was given mild painkillers that did absolutely nothing for me , I ended up being bedridden for almost 8 years , Lying in bed with pillows under my knees when I could lay on my back bust mostly lying on my side with pillows between my legs ! Then I was referred to a pain management clinic with a Dr. i felt i could trust , He kept wanting to do a new surgery that required running a laser up my epidural canal to remove a bunch of built up scar tissue which I was scared to try since my 1st surgery really sucked , He ended up putt...

I survived a compression fracture @C5 and then two more medically necessary (surgically induced) fracture/repairs @C5. I walked away after all of that. In 1998 my spinal cord attached to C5 and the repair work has been scratching into the cord ever since. Prescribed Oxycodone Acetaminophen 5-325mg and carefully monitored ever since I am now at 6 pills a day and have held that level for the last 5 years or so. This month my prescription changed to OA 5-3. It is a smaller pill so I am guessing it is 300 mg rather than 325. Is my guess correct? I am in agony from the forced reduction. What else can I take -- in addition to the prescribed oxy -- to compensate for the reduction of the pain med. Something that won't kill me. I tried Tylenol as a substitute but had to give it up once I was...

Hi, After 12 years of taking the blue 30's the pharmacy gave me these big white tabs. My question is why are the blue more potent than the white from Rhodes Pharm. Is it the quality of the ingredients? The brand Roxi you cant find anymore why is that? ## Generic medications are allowed to differ from the name brand in the amount of the active ingredients by as much as plus or minus 20% as decreed by the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984. They also don't have to measure against each other, just the name brand, so some generics may be slightly stronger or weaker than another. Went for my new prescription of Percocet today. Saw a P/A. Was given a totally new script: Alvogen Oxycod/ACET 10mg/325mg. Lower left bottom yellow label states 10mg oxycodone HCI is equivalent to 8.9637mg of oxycodone. This medicine is not working at all. Whats wrong? ## There can be differences from one generic medication to another, as was granted by the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, they are allowed to differ by as much as plus or minus 20% in the amount of the active ingredients. This was done to help bring generics to market faster and the FDA considers it an acceptable therapeutic window. Most people never notice a difference, however, some people are very sensitive to any change in their medication, or they may notice a difference, if they've been taking the same one for a long ...

Yesterday, I went to my regular pharmacy, a rite aid to get my oxycodone script filled, I got pills that don't do anything. I have been taking oxycodone or Oxycontin for many years, I have never gotten pills that do nothing. The pharmacy said there was nothing wrong with them. Because they are type 2 meds, don't think they could do anything anyway. I am so frustrated, My back is killing me. Sam ## Hello, Sam! How are you? Under the Hax-Waxman Act of 1984, generics are allowed to differ from the name brands by as much as plus or minus 20%, but they don't have to measure against each other, only the name brand, so it is conceivable that new one you've received is not as potent as the prior one you were taking. Been taking oxycodone 10-325 by another company called alvogen and I got these 10-325 with m523 on the back with this company's name (mallinckrodt). Are they the same as hydrocodone? It does not relieve pain very well. ## Yes, they contain the same active ingredients, but there can be fluctuations from one generic to another. Under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, they are allowed to differ from the name brand by as much as plus, or minus 20%, and they don't have to measure against each other, just the name brand. Thus, it is possible that these ones are a little lower than the others, so they may not work as well as for you. However, since the differences are slight, your body should adjust in a week, or so. If not, you should consult your doctor. The FDA warns that this medicatio...

I take Oxycodone for pain and usually take the 15mg ones and I went out of town and due to the strick rules had to take some leftover 10mgs. Here is the thing they don't seem to help as much even doing the 15 so 1 and half of a 10. Should be the same mg for mg but it wasnt in fact I even had some withdrwal type feeling. Why is that? Has anyone else had the issue? I took the same amount mg for mg per day yet had no energy at all and felt off. ## There can be fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredient from one generic medication to another. They are allowed to differ by plus or minus 20% under the Hatch Waxman Act of 1984. Thus, the 10mg tablets may be lower and that could have caused the problem. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the poten...

I have somewhat severe Crohn's disease and was diagnosed at 15 but had bad stomach issues long before that. I'm now 19 years old and I've been on just about every treatment for the disease and nothing has ever worked. A few years ago I had 1.5 feet of my colon removed since it had become so inflamed and ulcerated. I've tried everything but nothing helps it seems. I spend everyday in severe pain to the point where I can't work and I can't go to school. I'm watching my youth pass me by and being completely revolved around my disease. I often go to the bathroom 10-20 times a day and my stomach is constantly in severe pain with spasms and joint pains as well. I've been on Vicodin, Percocet, OxyContin, and now I'm just on 4 15 mg oxycodone hcl a day. I...
