I am a 70 year old female who has been taking Oxycodone for many, many years. I severely suffer with pain caused by degenerative arthritis. I have had four surgeries involving spinal fusions, etc, plus numerous other surgeries involving bones/joints all over my body. Oxycodone has in the past been helpful with controlling my pain, at least to a point. When my pharmacy changed to the Zudus brand, everything completely changed in a very bad way. This brand does nothing for my pain, and only makes me extremely sleepy. I live with constant pain. I have checked with pharmacies in my area and cannot find any other available brands. Please suggest ways to find another manufacturer that will help me. I really cannot continue with this terrible pain. Thank you for any help you may offer. ## Hell...

The np 12 10mg oxycodone hcl pills are just as good if not better than the k's or A's or any other 10mg oxy for that matter..like the previous person said it all matters how your body metabolized the drug...bottomline everyones chemistry is diffrent...ive been on narcotics since i was 16 and I have always hated the "this brand is better than this brand" discussion ## @Grizzy, You have a good point about 'how the body metabolizes the drug due to different body chemistry', as opposed to one brand being "better" than another. I think there are few exceptions though, like when it comes to certain manufacturers using more or less active/inactive ingredients that obviously give it a greater or lesser advantage than other brands/generics right off the bat. A goo...

How many Oxycodone IR 20mg brands are there? What are the colors & shapes, including generics? My friend gets these and changes pharmacies from time to time because of the quality. Her usual one says he gets ones w/ the lowest costs for consumers. Thank you. ## Unfortunately, I can't possibly list them all for you, since it is available as a generic, it is manufactured by many different companies, they all have different markings, plus the shapes, and colors can vary. And yes, that is how all pharmacies work, they will stock whichever generic was being offered at the cheapest price, when they needed to restock their supply. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and co...

The pharmacy that I use changed my brand of Oxycodone every month. Where can I find a pharmacy that stocks the M F brand that I am used to taking? And why to different brands have a different effect on me? Some brands seem to work better than others. ## not sure if you are talking about the medicine that's stamped with an M (mallinckrodt)if u are most Walgreens carries them. ## MF stands for “my failure.” Oxycodone is the worst drug to get dependent on. So whoever takes it I feel bad for you. Cuz I broke 7 ribs in a car accident in the passenger seat ... from the airbag. So I had to be on bed rest for 8 weeks. While getting 30mg blue roxicodone. I was taking multiple times a day. Anyways, I always get the weird generic company and find out that they are exactly the same....

Has anyone gotten severe abdominal pain from taking these pills? I've been on oxycodone for years and never had pain from taking it. My pharmacy switched brands and now everytime I've taken it I've had severe pain in my right, mid to upper quadrant. I've tried eating. I've tried more water. I'm at a loss considering I have 27more days to go till a new script and I'd have to find a new pharmacy. ## Hi Devin, Sorry to hear about your situation. "Stomach pain" is actually listed as a side effect of Oxycodone at: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMHT0011542 NIH.gov goes on to note that you should contact your doctor right away if you experience such symptoms. My theory is that it probably has something to do with the different set of binders/fillers in this ...

Is there a list of name brands of Oxycodone 30mg that are rated by consumers from the best to worst? Meaning the meds that worked the best for most patients. ## The only name brand roxicodone has 54 199 imprinted on them and you can tell a huge difference. ## If such a list did exist, my guess is that it wouldn't be accurate enough to be useful, as we all react/respond differently to not only the active ingredient (based on tolerance, side effects, etc), but also the inactive ingredients that affect bioavailability and cause side effects as well. Some patients may even be hypersensitive to certain binders & fillers. That said, trial and error is really the only viable way to know for sure what works for you and what doesn't. If you do come across a manufacturer that does wor...

Has anyone had any problems with the u22's (oxycodone)? Do u feel they don't work as well as an A, K18, M5... Etc.? I've been on this medication for over 8 yrs now and have seen so many different kinds of oxycodone, however, I don't see these too often. Thank you in advance for ur help. ## It is manufactured by Aurolife Pharma and they list them as containing 5mgs of Oxycodone. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, and headache. Have you taken it, yet? If so, how is it working for you? ## These pills are nasty tear up my stomach get. Headaches dont work for pain give me gout attacks other brands don't do this ## I just took one will update. how much codone is in it, what is the difference between generic and the real oxycodone ## This means there are 5mgs of Oxycodone in it and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, the active ingredients in Percocet. Oxycodone is the generic medication, there name brands are different, so there is no difference to speak of in this case. Is there anything else I can help with?

This medication is weak compared Actavis oxycodone ## Hi Jay, How would you rank the mallinckrodt vs actavis on a scale on 1-10? I know a lot of patients who've been used to taking certain brands have also complained about actavis as well, but in my experience I'm finding the that primary differences people have are based on a variety of individual factors; such as tolerance, age, weight, metabolism, etc. Not only that but because both manufacturers use a different set of "inactive" ingredients (binders/fillers), this could also influence how much of the oxycodone is actually being metabolized and used by your body at any given time. These are the fillers used in mallinckrodt's (M 30) oxycodone 30mg tablet: microcrystalline cellulose + lactose monohydrate + stearic a...

I am knowledgeable about all the different brands of Oxycodone. I broke my neck in a car accident in October 2009 and been going back and forth to pain management doctors. ## Are you referring to brands, formulations or manufacturers? There are 3 brand name for Oxycodone, by itself, on the U.S. market and each represents a different formulation. There is Oxycontin, which is a 12-hour time released formulation, Roxicodone, which is a regular release formulation and OxyIR, which is an instant release formulation. Of those, the Roxicodone and OxyIR are both available as generics and those are made by many different manufacturers. Then, there are the combinations that are available. Percocet is a regular release formuation that contains Oxycodone and Acetaminophen, it is also available as a...

I want to see a picture of oxcicoden with the letter op and number 30 ## Hello, May! How are you? I'm sorry, but I don't have a picture to post for you, due to copyright reasons. However, I can tell you that Purdue Pharma lists it as being a round, brown tablet with OP impressed on one side and 30 impressed on the other. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hey so can anyone with the blue show me a good mount ## There are 3 or 4 different brands A215 ,M/30 I don't know how to add a picture ## Find a doctor that prescribes same medication that I have been talking That is in ...

I have a pain contract and I'm on 30 milligram oxycodones. I heard there are different brands that are stronger. Does anyone know if this is true. Thanks ## Hello, Jules! How are you? Generic medications are allowed to differ in the amount of the active ingredient by plus or minus 20%, so some may be a few milligrams stronger, yes. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

Oxycodone comes in many different shapes and colors. As many different shapes and colors that exist, there are just as many different manufacturers. No one pill is the same. E/8 with nothing on the side and dark blue is a oxycodone 30mg and i can say this for a fact cause I'm looking at them now. No one oxycodone is the same: Ms, Vs, A215, A51, 114, 224, algs, E/8 and many many more... ## You're right, no oxycodone tablet is created equally. Although I think this also holds true for many other types of medications as well containing the same active ingredients (with minor to moderate discrepancies in generics vs brands) - Not to mention the different sets of inactive ingredients that seem to affect bioavailability for better or worse absorption. Couple these facts with our uniqu...

How are you? I'm sorry, but there is no log kept of such information. It really depends on you and which one works best for you. The FDA classifies this as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. They're the same strength and help me just like the little blue ones. Everyone concerned about them are needle freaks or like to abuse them. I have a friend who misuses them and he is complaining. I tell him to take them and in 15 minutes you will feel the same as me. After I take mine it kicks in within 15 to 20 minutes. Keep ur nose clean and don't make me sick hearing needle problems. Been taking Oxycodone 30mg for 2 years and when I get my script filled I always have 30 to 40 left from the month before. Have blue and white, all the same. ## I have a friend works in a lab that analyzes different generic meds to make sure they have the right ingredients and the correct milligrams in them. My brother takes Oxycontin 80 mg. for timed release pain management and 30 mg. roxycodone for break thru pain. He has seen the same doctor and went to the same pharmacy for over 10 years. Suddenly last month, drug store did not have the 30 mg. available for a few days and this month, I was told that 30 mg. were no longer available. I cannot get his medication anywhere ( the 30 mg.) Are they no longer on the market? ## Roxicodone (regular timed to act) and Oxycodone(contin) (longer time acting) are essentially the same medication but here apparently prescribed for different effects. Short and long term pain control. So, to summarize, they are essentially the same drug but with different prescription for use, and most likely different brands. ## The 30mg dosage is still available, but the...

I've noticed the 10mg k56 and the 15mg a214 effect me differently at the same dose (1.5 ks or 1 a) I know generics are supposed to be equivalent but we all know that's just not what's been happening (mallinkrodt generic Norco Percocet and oxycodone all are not better than Tylenol and their dilaudid is not the same as other brands either. But I was wondering in people's experience and opinion what kind of generic oxycodone provide the most relief. (3 car accidents, 3 surgeries) ## 10mgs and 15mgs are not the same dosage. CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME WITH STRONG PAIN MEDS! ## @Ea, I think with regards to trying specific manufacturer's brands or generics, there comes a point of understanding in knowing that we all react/respond differently despite taking the same active ingredient(s). Alvogen 10/325 any one else feel it is not controlling their pain as well as other brands. Thanks for your input. ## Hi Annie, I have not tried the Alvogen brand specifically, but according to other related threads on here, Endo Pharmaceuticals is touted as having one of the best working Percocet tablets by comparison. My theory is that one or more of the binders/fillers that Alvogen tabs are composed of aren't able to sufficiently metabolize in our body, thus leaving part of the active ingredient(s) lying dormant within. I don't know if this makes much sense to anyone else who may be reading, but it seems like a feasible possibility since each manufacturer uses a different set of inactive ingredients. ## Thank you very much for answering my question, in your opion it will work ...
