I am somewhat confused. Can someone tell me the difference between MALLINCRKO 5/325 and ROXICET 5/325. I was getting ROXICET, and today I got MALLINCKRO. They both have the same markings(round with 512 on one side and nothing on the other side). I was under the impression that the markings should be different if the maker was different for identification purposes. ## Yes, if the manufacturer is different the markings must be different, but that does not apply if a medication is just being distributed by a different company. Thus, to be certain of the manufacturer, it is important to always look up the medication by the relevant markings, and not what your pharmacy prints on the label. The tablet with the 512 marking is manufactured Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. NDC: 00406-0512 This med...

Mallinckrodt oxycodone 52/50 Does this pill contain 325 mg Acetaminophen plus 5mg Oxy ? ## No, the tablet with the M 0552 marking just contains 5mgs of Oxycodone, which is a narcotic analgesic and does not contain any Acetaminophen. It may cause side effects, such as nausea, headache, dry mouth and dizziness. Learn more: Is there anything else I can help with? ## To be honest with you I have never seen or heard of that 52/50 are you sure it doesn't say 5/250 that would make a lot more sense to me and that would imply that it contains 250mg of acetaminophen ## Yup I have 05/52 pill it's an regular oxycodone 5 mg

Pictures of Mallinckrodt 20 milligram ## @She Devil, According to mallinckrodt's product catalog, they don't make a 20mg oxycodone. Here's a list of what they do make: Oxycodone + Acetaminophen 10 mg/325 mg Oxycodone + Acetaminophen 5 mg/325 mg Oxycodone + Acetaminophen 7.5 mg/325 mg Oxycodone HCl 15 mg Oxycodone HCl 30 mg Oxycodone HCl 5 mg Ref: mallinckrodt.com/Generics/Generic_Products If you received what you think may be a 20mg oxycodone, I would encourage you to call mallinckrodt directly just to be sure. their customer service toll-free number is 800-325-8888 (Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm CST). I hope this helps!

So my pharmacy said they changed their brands from mallinckrodt to alvogen, both oxycodone 7.5/325 for insurance reasons. The alvogen caused ulcers, swelling in the throat, and didn't help with the pain from the coating. I thought they were giving a placbo or they had a very low mg, > 5. I told them about the problem and they filled another one anyway. I tried maylan 7.5/325 and they work fine. Conclusion alvogen company should be banned from making this product! ## Hello, SP! How are you? I am very sorry about the problem you had. Did you report the issues to the FDA? You can contact them at 888-463-6332, they take reports on adverse events with medications. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I had the exact prop w that brand my throat closed up ended up in hospital nee...

Been taking oxycodone 10-325 by another company called alvogen and I got these 10-325 with m523 on the back with this company's name (mallinckrodt). Are they the same as hydrocodone? It does not relieve pain very well. ## Yes, they contain the same active ingredients, but there can be fluctuations from one generic to another. Under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, they are allowed to differ from the name brand by as much as plus, or minus 20%, and they don't have to measure against each other, just the name brand. Thus, it is possible that these ones are a little lower than the others, so they may not work as well as for you. However, since the differences are slight, your body should adjust in a week, or so. If not, you should consult your doctor. The FDA warns that this medicatio...

will a 1/2 pill of mallinckrodt 10-325 and will it last as long as a full pill with half the strength? ## Hello, Priscilla! How are you? You mean 10mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen? This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. If so, then in theory, yes it should work that way. Is there anything else I can help with?

Had a Septoplasty and bil submucous resection turbinates today; was given a rx for this pain med and had it filled at CVS. I don't take pain medications in daily life. It has not effect at all...it's not that it is not strong enough...it just does nothing. I'm not allowed to take an NSAID or Tyl OTC so needless to day I'm miserable tonight. Why would this medication be impotent? Could it be a plcebo? Thanks a'bunch ## Hi Mary, I'm sorry to hear about your situation. It's odd that this pain killer didn't work for you. Do you know if it is a generic? I do know that the FDA permits generic formulas to vary by as much as 20% from the active ingredients in brand formulas. My only other guess is that you could've gotten a bad batch or your body just isn...

What the different of oxycodone Kvk-tech and The oxycodone mallinkrdt ## What is the difference between oxycodone w/apap 5/325 (mck) and oxycodone hcl 5 mg tablet kvk? ## The only difference is that they have been manufactured by different companies. The MCK or Mallinkrdt denotes the manufacturer as being Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals and the KVK is for KVK Tech. Once a medication is available as a generic, it is usually made by several different companies, so this is completely normal. Is there anything else I can help with?

I'm 69 & suddenly suffering from Neuropathic pain in shoulders, hips, & lower back which radiates into extremities. Cause and effect or coincidence? this all started right after a Prevnar 13 shot. I am in FL where MAJOR tightening on Pain Meds is being implemented. Costco sources through Mallinckrodt & Interpharm. Walmart, Publix, Sams use Rhodes. Rhodes does not give me the same level of pain relief and also leaves me feeling agitated and nervous/shaky. Costco Corp policy is also becoming very strict. Diagnosis codes from Prescribing Physicians is required and used to decide if they will fill or not fill. They also require over night wait before you can pick up a filled script. Going to explore where CVS sources and if they coerce you to moving all/additional scrip ther...

Amneal's oxycodone, generic for percocet 10/325 is white, oblong, blank on one side, and imprinted with IP 204 (not IP 203)! I usually take Watson or Mallinckrodt, 10/325, (2) tablets every 4-6 hours (240 monthly), but I was given Amneal today when filling my script, and I am not happy! I have cancer, and I also take morphine sulphate 30 mgs as well (1 every 12 hours), and Fioricet with Codeine for severe migraines (as needed)! I do not feel Amneal is sufficient or even close to the chemical makeup as Watson or Mallinckrodt for controlling pain/chronic pain! Amneal does not act the same way on my body, and I should not have to take more for same result! I think when you pay cash for your medications, and have been on the medication for 8 years, using the same pharmacy, they should o...

oval tab m582 ## Grandmother had a subsciption, my wife is a nurse, and i hurt my back. she saw the pill and said it was for pain but i didnt feel any relief after taking the pill. was she (my wife) mistaken? ## A subscription is what you have to a magazine, a drug has a prescription. This pill is Acetaminophen 500mgs and Oxycodone 7.5mgs, a generic version of Roxicet, however, your wife should not be trying to treat you. Being a nurse, she is not qualified to prescribe drugs and could lose her license for such activities. You need to see a doctor. ## why do my pills say oxycodome/acet5-325mg tab and not oxycodone/apap5-325mg tab

Hello, First, let me start by saying that I am somewhat opiate naive. I am not in pain management and hopefully won't need to be. I've had scripts here and there for norco and percocet. It is the generic percocet, or more specifically the oxycodone, i'd like to discuss here. Over the past year i've had issues (such as a broken elbow, recurring kidney stones, and a staghorn lodged in my renal pelvis [kidney]), that have lead to several prescriptions for percocet from a total of 4 different manufacturers. Mallinckrodt 10/325, Amneal 7/325, Rhodes Pharmacy 10/325, and AuroBindo 10/325. I've read a lot of reviews about the aforementioned generic manufacturers. The majority of them have been negative especially for Rhodes. Mallinckrodt and AuroBindo are the only two that ...

Pharmacy recently changed my generic 5 mg / 325 pills. The original capsule-shaped, white, U15 imprint (Aurolife pharma llc - pill search result) to a round, white, 512 imprint (Mallinckrodt inc - also pill search result). The "new" pill also has "APAP" on the label; I can't say for certain the original (U15) had that designation, though it may have. The "new" pill makes me feel "differently", and not in a good way. Before I speak with my pharmacist, I wanted to understand why or how they might cause this difference. ## Both of the tablets you've mentioned contain 5mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, so they are the same. APAP is just medical speak for Acetaminophen, so that's not anything different or new. This is a narcotic analges...

Would 3 tablets of m325 be the same as taking one and a half Vicodin 10? ## Hello, Kyle! How are you? Do you mean the white tablet with the marking M523 on one side and 10/325 on the other? If so, it is manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 10mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. In this case, you have the conversion backwards, because Oxycodone is stronger than Hydrocodone. Taking 30mgs of it would be equal to taking 45mgs of Hydrocodone. Thus, it just takes one of these tablets to equal one a half Vicodin 10/325. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

A friend of mine had some of these and they made her sick. I had to have her stomach pumped. We saw on this website where these were fake pills. Is there any truth to this? ## Hi Melissa, A white oblong shaped pill with M523 on one side and 10/325 on the back is reportedly identified as a generic Acetaminophen + Oxycodone HCL tablet, made by Mallinckrodt. For verification, you can visit the following National Drug Code link: 0406-0523 Having said this, her pill does fit the description of a real product... However if she isn't going through her doctor to obtain a prescription then they could be anything pressed and shaped to look like something real. I'm not insinuating that this is the case here, but she shouldn't have to question their legitimacy if she filled a prescripti...
