I have been on OxyContin 60 mg. 3 time'sa day for about 6 or 7 year's. It woked GREAT. I have gotten 3 refill's of the NEW OxyContin they are not the same, they do not work as the old ones did, they do not last as long, it takes longer to take ANY kind of effect, I have went to the doctor, he does not want to change any thing, I called Purdu to find out how to get the old one's back, some one said if op is on the pill instead of oc it would be equal to the old one's. I dont know ! all I know is I went from being able to thing's to sitting in a chair or laying in a bed, I can not even get out of the tub now with out help, I have 6 grandchildren that I use to be able to play with (not for a long time, but now FORGET IT.) Hello, I am a long time user of oxycodone . Have been prescribed pain mess for around 8 years. I am 35 years old and lead a fairly active lifestyle . I've had many surgeries in which I suffer from serious constant pain. I've tried many ways of coping with the pain but the only thing that really works and enables me to function semi normally is oxycodone. Right now I'm using 30mg Oxys. Prescribed 180 a month, but always come up short as I need more than what's prescribed to my high tolerance . I've tried the extended release tablets in 80mg and they do not work at all, and I feel like they are way worse for my body . I've tried dissolving them in water and soda. And they turn to this glob of rubbery stuff and it seems like it would just build up in my body and not...

If I take 2 of the 30 mg oxycodone and I have the 60 mg oxycontin. Can you cut a 60 mg oxycontin in half and take it that way to get the immediate effect you get with taking 2 of the 30 mg oxycodone. I have to mail order my medications and there was a mix up and I have been taking for 15 years for chronic pain. Just trying to get by without going 2 hours to my dr to get a written script and then it would mess up my scripts again!! Thanks for the help. ## Hello, Susie! How are you? No, the new Oxycontin are actually tamper proof, so they prevent anyone from being able to do that. If you cut them up, you will just get a ball of goo that still releases the medication just as it should. However, there could also still be a risk of getting too much, at once, and suffering an overdose. This i...

I just got my monthly fill of Oxy 60 oc. But this fill I noticed the pills say 60 and on the other side it is stamped op. Is this the same meds as I have been taking? Thank you. Tom P. ## Yes, it is the same medication, this is just the new Oxycontin OP, it has been specially formulated to help prevent abuse. Otherwise, it still contains Oxycodone, is supposed to work the same and has the same side effects: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Read more: Do you have any other questions?

Small round pill 60mg ABG ## THIS IS NOT OXYCODONE! THIS IS MORPHINE CR This is Morphine Sulfate CR 60mgs, a generic for MS Contin. I didn't even have to look this one up, I have a whole bottle here and take them twice a day. Oxycodone does not come in a 60mg dosage. ## Oxycontin does make a 60mg, but you're right this is definitely the generic of MS Contin 60mg. ## You should get your facts straight as oxycodone does come in a 60 mg dose it is just very uncommon you see them. ## Morphine is in its own class...not generic for anything ## They very well do make a 60 mg. Oxycottin does and in generic form too. ## Is they don't come in a generic 60 mg tabs what do they put you on in stead I have been taking oxcycontin 60 mg but I am changing insurances and my insurance guy said...

I have been prescribed oxycontin 15mg 60/30. Can anyone tell me what the 60/30 means ## That is directing the pharmacy that it should be a 30 day supply, so 2 pills a day, making the total quantity 60. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I hope everyone will reply to my post. I 'am like thousand of good people who live in pain every minute of the day. And now since Purdue the makers of Oxycontin has reformulated the OC to OP we all suffer. I like all has called Purdue with my concerns not only a complaint on how this new Oxycontin does not work and its side effects. What I will do if I have enough people to respond is to set up a FACEBOOK page were people can add his or her story about how the OP do not work, what side affects he or she is having. Also where everyone can boycott any medication that Purdue sells. When at the Pharmacy ask the Pharmacist to give you another brand of medication not one made by Purdue. Trust me there are many other drug companies who make the same day to day medication we take. From bloo...

what color do these pills look like? ## There is no 60mg of the instant release Oxycodone, it is only available in 5mgs. There is a time released tablet in 60mgs, called Oxycontin, which would have the marking OC or OP on one side and a 60 on the opposite side. The tablets should be red. This is a potent narcotic, so it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## there is oxycontin 30mg instant release but that is as high as instant release goes. ## oxycodone does not just come in 5mgs. I am recovering from an intense spinal surgery and was given an rx for 60 mg oxycontin. I filled it last month at my regular CVS, but they said it was removed from the books, they even called other CVS who checked and said it was removed from their books as well, guessing that CVS doesn't carry it anymore. After checking with 10 different pharmacies, no one has it. One said they haven't had to order that in a long time. I didn't think it was that unusual. But where in the world can I get this filled? Walgreens is not an option as they are not a part of my insurance plan.

I have CHRONIC back pain(was hit be a truck 8 yrs ago. Are their any of old OC's being distributed, that's long acting OC's. I was taking 80 mg of OC for 8 years they were great. Three months ago was put on the OD's 80mg they sucked. Now I tried 2 x 60 mg of long acting morphine, they gives me a drugged out feeling, can't stand them either. Will their be any old type OC's available soon. I am one unhappy consumer . ## No, I am sorry, but Purdue Pharma has discontinued the original Oxycontin product and replaced it with the new Oxycontin OP. It is specially formulated to help prevent abuse and pharmacies were only allowed to continue to sell the original product, until the supply ran out. There have been many complaints about it not seeming to work as well, plus s...

My Pain Dr is changing my medication from oxycontin 60 mg to opana 30 He is trying to get the pain level to a point that I can be to a point My pain is live able What is the difference I am reading its twice as strong but If your getting 1/2 your dose So Wont the pain medication still more or less be the Same? I start on Monday So any info is appreciated thank you ## SWEET: Supposedly, the Opana actually stays around for 12 hours, whereas you probably know, the Oxy does not. BUT: Opana is very expensive, and depending on where you live, it is very hard to find a pharmacy that carries it. I live in a large metropolitan area, and I found 1 pharmacy that had it, but my copay was 330.00, so I declined. Also, check with your insurance company about what drugs they will pay for in that class ...

I have been on regular Oxycodone- one 20mg pill every 4-6 hrs a day for approx 6 mos I used to be prescribed 10 MG TWO PILLS every 4-6hrs prior to the switch by my doc. Now, my pain has greatly increased and NOW he has given me 30 mg 4x a day and another script for oxycontin 60mg 2x a day. NOW, I am really drowsy ALL DAY where I was not at all before after this recent change in script. I also DO NOT get the same pain relief. Seems weird----go up in strength and dosage yet now just very tired all the time and less pain effective too..WHY, WHY?. I have read somewhere that the brand of oxycodone I take (KVK) ESPECIALLY the former 20mg was almost worthless for pain, yet their 10 mg was very effective. When ever I would take 2 of the KVK 10mg in past, it INDEED WAS MORE EFFECTIVE than just O...

is there injection form of this pill and what would happen if you did inject it? ## Hello, Fancy! How are you? There is a liquid that is formulated for such use. WHERE TO FIND OXYCONTIN 60MG. - The major chains are under pressure and ridiculous regulations from the Gov't and Corporate - which makes it very hard for those of us with chronic pain and require it - however, you need to find a locally owned, small town pharmacy . . they usually stock it, and will order it for you. to hell with the major chains . . .and a personal note to Perdue (the manufacturer) YOUR GREED AND ARBITRARY, CONTINUOUS PRICE INCREASES ARE A DISGRACE !!!! OVER ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR A MONTH'S SUPPLY??? pardon me but F YOU, you greedy S.O.B.'s ! Shame on you and may you burn in hell . . .or better yet - may you all develop cervical spinal stenosis and live with it like I do.
