Oxy 160
58 Topics Foundhow can I get my doctor to prescribe 160 mg oxycontin? ## There are no 160mg Oxycontin tablets, the maximum available is 80mgs, so you could only total 160mgs in a day, taking them every 12 hours. And, unless you have a possibly terminal condition that causes intractable pain, such as stage 4 cancer, it is highly unlikely that any doctor will prescribe the maximum dosage, due to the new regulations that were put in place last year. This medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, drowsiness, headache and constipation. What dosage do you currently take? ## YES there IS 160mg Oxycontin! LOL
Severe back pain that runs down my leg and up to my shoulders ## It is hard to move or even work ## Hello, Ralph! How are you doing? Sorry that you're in pain. There is no immediate release Oxycodone in that high of a dosage. The immediate release is only available in a 5mg capsule, anything higher than that is either regular release or time released. And the 160mg is only available in the time released formulation, which is Oxycontin. Learn more Oxycontin details here. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Do you currently have a PCP that can refer you to someone? That would most likely be the most speedy and easiest way to get the help you need. ## If ...
what do they look like. how many is 2 many 2 take if u weigh 160 ## Roxies are round. If you are not prescribed these Meds, one is too many! It doesn't matter if you weigh 1000 pounds. Use your brain, instead of your Ba@@s! ## Roxicodone can look different depending on who has manufactured it, especially since they are available as generics. If you can post back with the markings from the tablet in question, I will gladly look it up for you and see what it contains. And the other poster is correct, this is a potent narcotic and not a medication to be played around with, they can be very dangerous. ## Found a round white pill with 233 on it an a line on the back someone told me it was a roxy5 but I cant find anything on it can someone tell what it is ## 223 it an oxycodone (percocet)...
Overall this medication & dosage is effective reducing chronic pain. However, occasionally I have severe breakthrough pain. Does anyone have experience or recommendations of a secondary medication that would be effective reducing the breakthrough pain. Having taken this higher dosage of Oxycontin for so long, I'm having difficulty finding a medication strong enough to reduce this occasional, severe breakthrough pain. ## Ask your doc about adding methadone altho its a pain for withdrawing from alot of docs add it for breakthrew pain. ## @Kev, Something else to keep in mind is that your tolerance continues to increase as well with higher dosages, eventually rending each higher dose ineffective (unless you're titrating down then back up, etc). So finding that middle ground betw...
i took 2 80 mg oxycontin a day for 7 years i have a mass that cannot b removed i got tired of meds not helping pain so i detoxed at home and know take suboxone it controls my pain and got me out of withdraws it saved my life ## It is a blue capsule. WAS TOLD it was 100mg Oxyctoin. But, does not look right to me. Im a former addict, and I am 1 yr sober and 4 months now. Im concerned about a friend who is abusing it..It is a BLUE CAPSULE, white powder inside. ## Sounds like they are taking morphine not oxycontin .The only blue oxy is 160 mg . ## You are not clean if you are taking suboxone... FACT. It's a substitute for oxy/H and is an opiate itself. Get off all the s***, then make true claims. ## I suppose you believe that a Diabetic is an Insulin addict. Suboxone therapy is a lifesa...

I take 160mill of oxycotin 2 times a day and roxi 30 mill every 3 hours for breakthrough pain. What is the difference in the meds? Also I have the generic oxycontin, 80 mill is it different than the brand name? I ask because they dont seem to effect me like the oxys I recived in the hosbital. The generic pill is lite green and oval is this the same ? ## Does the so called generic oxycontin say oc on one side and 80 on the other? The name brand are lite green with those letters and numbers. The generic form should work just the same. Perhaps you are just working up a tolerance to them. Roxi's are oxycodone just like the oxycontin is; however, the oxcycontin are time-released over an 8 or 12 hour period, (depending on what you are on.) The roxicet is the same as percocet. I dont know ...
I need to know if my Oxycodne IR 15mg light green pill with M oneside-15other side, with a indent center line is extended release . I am detoxing soon and is really important as I reduce down from apx 160mg(2are60mg long release) W/5mg for breakthru pain. Dr is retiring and I had scripts for all. ## IF it is oxycodone 15mg IR hints the IR that means instant release unless you have your pills confused that narcotic is a instant release form,Oxycontin stands for continous release so if it is oxycodone then it is not extened release. ## This tablet is actually neither the immediate release, nor the extended release, it is just the regular release 15mg, generic for Roxicodone. Some of the most common side effects to this medication can include: nausea, dry mouth, constipation and drowsiness...
I'm switching to 3 40mgs a day of Opana ER and hoping it does better than 80mg of OxyContin twice a day. Any advice or info please ## Hello, Timps! How are you? Opana is actually twice as strong as Oxycontin, so you'd only need 80mgs of it daily to equal the 160mgs of Oxycontin that you were taking, thus, taking 120mgs a day will actually be a stronger dose and may provide better pain relief. The FDA classifies these medications as being narcotic analgesics, so they carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I went from OxyContin to opana as well and great as I thought OxyContin were, opana surprisingly not only lowered my pain level but kept me even...
Please note that according to NIH, "OxyContin tablets are a controlled-release oral formulation of oxycodone hydrochloride indicated for the management of moderate to severe pain when a continuous, around-the-clock analgesic is needed for an extended period of time. OxyContin 60 mg, 80 mg, and 160 mg Tablets, or a single dose greater than 40 mg, ARE FOR USE IN OPIOID-TOLERANT PATIENTS ONLY. A single dose greater than 40 mg, or total daily doses greater than 80 mg, may cause fatal respiratory depression when administered to patients who are not tolerant to the respiratory depressant effects of opioids. OxyContin TABLETS ARE TO BE SWALLOWED WHOLE AND ARE NOT TO BE BROKEN OR CHEWED. TAKING BROKEN OR CHEWED OxyContin TABLETS LEADS TO RAPID RELEASE AND ABSORPTION OF A POTENTIALLY FATAL D...

what pharmacies will fill my georgia script in Indina. its for 160 oxycodone 30mg tablets. ## I'm sorry, but there is no way for us to know this information. It can vary, depending on the pharmacy's policies, how much they have in stock and etc. Since this is a controlled substance, some pharmacies won't even fill it if someone lives outside of the county they are located in. Have you tried visiting pharmacies to ask? ## i had to go to ga to a pain doctor and he wrote me loratab and oxycodone and i can not get them filled just because i have a ky id. ## As long as your script is typed out and not hand written, any pharmacy should fill it. ## How about getting them filled in GA? Neither are refillable. They both are Schedule II opiates — and why HYDRO (Lortab)- and OXYC...
I am recovering from an intense spinal surgery and was given an rx for 60 mg oxycontin. I filled it last month at my regular CVS, but they said it was removed from the books, they even called other CVS who checked and said it was removed from their books as well, guessing that CVS doesn't carry it anymore. After checking with 10 different pharmacies, no one has it. One said they haven't had to order that in a long time. I didn't think it was that unusual. But where in the world can I get this filled? Walgreens is not an option as they are not a part of my insurance plan. ## I went to a local low cost pharmacy. They had and could order it. The cost was 600. But because insurance was charged from cvs 1600 a month they would not pay 600. They would only pay 300. I got member se...
