The capsule is green on one side, blue on the other and contains 40 mgs of Omeprazole. I have been taking it for two weeks and just this weekend started experiencing back pain, groin pain and have a great deal of gas. What is the difference between Omeprazole caps 40 mg and IC Omeprazole DR 40 mg. caps ## The first one that you listed is a regular release medication, while the second one you listed has the DR that denotes it as being a delayed release, so the medication is slowly released over a period of time. I was on omeprazole for about 3 years and it worked great. The last time I had it refilled it made my acid reflux worse and gave me nausea. The capsules are a different color than what I had been taking, is it possible they switched to a different type. ## What are the markings on the capsules? I was given some pillows and told that they are Omeprazatr I am 40. They are white capsules with wildtocot and OME 20 printrd on the side. ## I located white capsules with the marking OME 20 OME 20 in black letterings. I found nothing on the word wildtocot; but I can confirm this capsule to be Omeprazole (20 mg). It is manufactured by Sandoz Pharmaceuticals Inc. Generic omeprazole by Dr Reddy and Mylan worked fine for me. Sandoz omeprazole gave me a chronic sore throat. ## we purchased 40 mg omeprazole from CVS pharmacy. the blue bottle had a Mylan logo and a microdisplay pill picture of blue/green tablet with 5222 on the label. inside the bottle was a tan/white capsule marked "OME 40". This is a Sandoz mark for omeprazole. I am a 69 year old male who experienced upper gastric pain and was prescribed Mucosta t.i.d. times 7 days. After the very first dose of 1 tablet I began serious side effects: hypertension, constipation, inability to concentrate and panic attacks related to my inability to stop the effect of the drug. Depression and inability to experience happiness, or pleasure. I suspect my hypersensitivity may be related to the fact that I have genetically evolved essential tremor for which I have taken Corgard/Nadalol 40 mg for the past 20 years. WHAT IS THE HALF LIFE of Mucosta? I was given a 40 mg dose of Pantoloc which I also stopped taking after the first pill. I switched back to Omeprazole 20 mg which I took before with no problems and it seems to have ended the gastric pain.
