omeprazole dr 2-mg - - - started 02/17/10 - - - 1 capsule a day - - have had stomach pain and watery diarrea the past 4 days/also some vomiting. So I have not taken my medications until today!!! Since I have started feeling better -- I resumed my medications today -- this afternoon the stomach pain has returned and the feeling that the diarrea is allso about to resume! ## Omeprazole can cause some stomach pain and diarrhea as side effects when you first start taking it. It should taper off as your body adjusts to the medication. If it doesn't, you will need to contact your doctor. Have you spoken to them about it?

I was on omeprazole for about 3 years and it worked great. The last time I had it refilled it made my acid reflux worse and gave me nausea. The pharmacy has changed the manufacturer of my 20 mg Omeprazole from Sandoz to Dr.Reddy Labs. Know when I take my dosage I am getting a tremendous pain across my chest that lasts about an hour.
