please send me details to this question ## No the 10/325 are stronger than the 5/325. ## I was wondering if this was even a serious question or not, since 10 is obviously a higher number than 5... Though I have to ask the original poster, did you mean "10" of some other medication? I.e. - 10mg Zohydro (Hydrocodone extended release) which doesn't have Acetaminophen? You asked for details to your question but didn't post much detail yourself... So if you could please post back with any additional information or feedback that would be most helpful. Thanks! ## How many 5-325 hydrocodon does it take to equal a 10-325 hydrocodon ## It takes two of the 5/325 to equal one 10/325 of hydrocodone. By taking two of the 5/325 you will be getting 650mgs of Tylenol in one dose so be co...

How long would it take to go through a withdrawal from these opioid pain meds such as norcos??? ## Hello, Becky! How are you? It actually depends on how long you were taking it, how much you were taking each day and the way your body reacts to stopping, so there's no hard and fast rule to quote for you. It may take anywhere from a few days to over a month, or so. The FDA lists the withdrawal effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, fever, chills, headache, diarrhea, rebound pain and depression. How long was the person in question taking it and how much were they taking?

Is there a new law in California that limits the quantity of Hydrocodone 10/325 to 120 pills per month? ## Hello, Eric! How are you? New directives were issues by the DEA last year instructing doctors to restrict how much they prescribe, except in cases where someone has intractable pain from a possibly fatal illness. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Generally, people are to be kept to the equivalent of no more than 120mgs of Morphine a day, though some states have further restricted that to just the equivalent of 100mgs. Additionally, your doctor is supposed to subscribe the bare minimum it takes to try to control your pai...

How long do they still in your body ## Because that answer depends on so many underlying factors (i.e weight, age, metabolism, diet, etc), the best you can do is go off an estimated guess on when it'll be out of your body. In many cases I've read about on here, it seems to pretty much go unnoticed on drug panels after 3 to 7 days of not having anything at all. On the contrary, some diagnostics can still find it in your hair follicles for up to 90 days. But if this isn't a concern to you then I wouldn't sweat the time frame at all. Have long have you been taking them for?

Just curious on how much it's going to be to get filled ## @john, You didn't mention what quantity you were getting filled, but in my zip code, it has been stated that pharmacies will fill a prescription of thirty 10/325 brand name Norco tablets for an estimated $100 with an Rx Savings Card. Not sure about the cost without using one of those. However, I'd imagine that prices could also vary depending the quality of your insurance (if you have insurance) and what coverage they provide. For example: A close family member of mine has what I consider to be good insurance through Covered California/Healthnet and only pays somewhere between $18-$35 for a thirty day supply of Norco at this dosage...This just goes to show how different pricing variables can be. That said, it might e...

I was on the yellow 10/325. They claimed all they did is just took out the dye. I've been on this dose for years and I guess they thought I was an i**** because they put me on a Norco 10/325 ip 110. I noticed right away they were much weaker. I don't want to have to take more but the reality is they are weaker than the yellow ones. I'm having to take three and still don't feel it working like the two yellow ones I've always taken. Is there a generic that is just as strong as the yellow? ## Hi mel, You are right about Actavis claiming the only notable difference to be a removal of yellow dye; but it would seem to me that there's something the manufacturer isn't telling us. Not only do I have a relative with similar complaints about the white tablet being ineff...

Is the norco 10/325 176 made by Sun Pharmaceuticals stronger than the norco 10/325 Watson brand? I was taking Watson and they gave me 176. ## Hello, Debbie! How are you? While there can be differences between generic medications, as permitted by the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, what it really comes down to is what works for you. Have you tried taking this one, yet? If so, has it been helping you? The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. ## In my opinion, the Watson brand works so much better than the one imprinted with 176. I've taken both and much prefer the Watsons. ## I finally found a Norco 10/325 that works by Sun manuf. I used to take Watson brand but th...

concerned about a family member with the amount of acetaminiphen in these pain pills. How much is too much and how long before it can do damage to your liver? ## The 325 shows that each tablet contains 325mgs of the Acetaminophen and 10mgs of the opiate Hydrocodone. That is the same amount of Acetaminophen that is in regular Tylenol, which can be purchased over the counter. As to how much is too much, they need to stay at or under 3,000mgs of it a day. However, there is no definitive timeline I can quote you regarding how long, before it will do damage to their liver, if ever. It can vary from person to person and will depend on other factors, such as how much they are taking daily, whether not they drink alcohol, if they are on any other medications or etc. The FDA classifies this medi...

I take 75mg MS Contin, handles steady relief. My breakthrough pain was not under any control with 15mg morphine IR. Instead of increasing that med the Dr. wanted to change it up. Leaving the morphine ER the same he added 10/325 Norco. I get a couple minute euphoria which I cannot stand. I start feeling severe sick feeling. The pain is eased. The head and stomach's strange feeling last an hour or so. Aren't the comparisons equal? If so why would one effect me so much. I do have sensitivities to medications. I just don't want to mix up my pain stability trying to find a med to relieve the breakthrough. My Fibromyalgia flares need to be shut down quick. Finally to my questions. Do you think or know of these side effects lasting extended time? Having these side affects with the ...

I have been taking Norco 10/325 for.a few years and it has controlled my severe pain. My physician is starting to prescribe me medication that just simply doesn't work. Please.....If anyone knows of a very liberal Doctor in Los angeles, Ca. (more the south bay area: Torrance, Redondo Beach, Gardena etc.) Please let me know!!! Would be very much appreciated ## Since Norco, along with other hydrocodone combination meds, will become a Schedule II Oct 6, 2014, finding a liberal dr will be impossible. Many drs who use to write for this have stopped due to the new tigher regulations that will be in place in less than 2 weeks. ## Look under Pain Management Dr.s on the Internet or a phone book. Be sure you know what generic drug brand works for you. You may need to ask any Dr. you find if h...

Am on 10-325 mg I go to pain management I can't find my bottle of meds am in pain. 8 days before appt will they see I haven't had my meds ## Hi Vicky, Sorry to hear about your situation. Personally, I think you should be upfront with your doctor about what happened, having misplaced the bottle. The main reason I say this is because I think they do have the ability to tell what levels of medication should be in your system vs how much isn't there. Given the circumstances and type of narcotic, it's easy for them draw false conclusions that you're selling them, but I feel that sincere honesty goes a long way when you are earnest and straight forward with your words. I have my fingers crossed for you and pray that everything works out to your benefit! Be well! ## They ca...

I've been taking Norco 10/3.25 for years for severe chronic pain--It's now no longer effective at all--I'm wondering about changing to Percocet 10/3.25 and whether this would be a stronger, more effective and longer lasting med to take--I've tried also Oxy.10 mg. hcl and they work so so and notice I need to take way more often than I ever did with Norco. I don't want to go this route at all!! I'm hoping the Percocet would change all this. Does it? ## I personally was in the same situation as you and I changed from Norco to percocet 10 325. It's much more effective then the Norco was but they have the same time frames. I sampled for a while 15 milligram oxycodones and didn't like those because there is no acetaminophen. I'm glad I made the change 2 per...

Finally weaned off the fentanyl patch this week. It's been 6 days. As I was weaning my craving/ need for Norco has increased. I'm trying next to wean off the Norco 10/325 6 a day but having a very tough time both pain wise and withdrawal wise. Clonidine has helped but not much. How long does it take for Norco to get out of your system and what helps with the WD symptoms. This all stared after 3 back surgeries and has been going on for 7 years. ## Hello, John! How are you doing? When coming off of opiates, it is normal to experience withdrawal symptoms, which can include rebound pain. As listed by the FDA, you may also experience nausea, fever, chills and diarrhea. There's really nothing else that will specifically help with the withdrawal symptoms, except for tapering very s...

Having a total knee replacement done in March have tried every type of therapies for pain, including CORTISONE and ORTHOVISC, but nothing helps... Doctor put me on Norco (5mg. / 325 mg.). It takes the edge off of my pain. (Also forgot to mention I'm dealing with severe bursitis in my hip in which I'm having the knee replacement surgery done on...) But still in a lot of pain. Can I asked the Orthopedic Surgeon to up the dosage to 7.5 mg. / 325 mg.? Also, is it safe taking this medication for two months prior to my surgery? Need some relief from pain until March... (Had my other knee replaced 5 years ago and took Norco 10/325 for 5 weeks after surgery to help with pain especially during therapy.) Anyones advise on this question? Thanks Much! what does the 10 stand for? i know it's the amount of hydrocodone but exactly how much ## These contain 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, it is a narcotic analgesic that's a generic for Vicodin, Lortab, Norco and others. This medication has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Learn more Vicodin details here. I would like to find a pharmacy in Albuquerque NEw Mexico that carries Qualitest 10/325. They work best for me. I was prescribed norco 10/325 for my back pain. The pharmacy dispensed the generic by Amneal. THAT is the worst generic for Norco I have ever taken!! It is pure crap made in India!! I had the worst reaction! I will NEVER take this shyt ever again!! Please let me know of any pharmacys that dispense the Qualitest. Thank you so much. Kimber ## Hello, Kimber! How are you doing? I am very sorry about the problem you've experienced. Unfortunately, there is no database showing what pharmacy carries any certain manufacturer's product in any given area. Which one they carry depends on who was offering the cheapest price, when they order a new stock from their distributor. The F...

Is the yellow dye in the Qualitest hydrocodone tablets tartrazine, aka FD & C yellow # 5? Many people, myself included, are highly sensitive to this dye. Lots of manufacturers still use it, for unknown reasons. But some have switched to an iron compound for the yellow color (who needs it?!). I have spent much time online trying to get this info, to no avail. If anyone knows, your response would be greatly appreciated! ## Hello, Bluecat! How are you? Actually, it is listed as being FD&C yellow #6. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## My son-in-law takes the yellow Norcos. Then one day, he picked up his meds ...

I have severe osteoporosis an current end plate fracture and 2 10/325 norco helped most of time but I was taking to much so they switched to diladid which didn't last more than two hours then switched to MS Contin 15 twice a day with Norco why through the MS Contin didn't do enough an was still taking to,much norco so they upped the MS Contin to 30mg twice day with only 4 norco a day for break through. Some day it work some days it doesn't it depends if I stay in bed or am up doing stuff. My question is I had gastric bypass an was always told not to take extended release an now they give it to me idk understand why. I'm taking percocet 10/650mg. I have (DDD), (Athritis), and the list goes on. I have a friend on Norco. Can you tell me what the difference is between them and the highest mg the norco comes in? THANK YOU SO MUCH! ## The Percocet is way better then the Norco, and the reason is because Percocet contains Oxycodone and Norco contains Hydrocodone. What im trying to say is Oxycodone is a stronger and longer lasting Opiate then Norco. {Edited for safety} just make sure to watch how much Tylenol/Acetaminophen ur taking, try not to take more 4000 to 5000mgs cause it can damage ur liver. The best Percocet you can get is 10-650 and 10-325 The best Norco you can get is 10-325 or Lorcets which are 10-650 . Hope this helped in anyway at all and fell free to ask me any questions u have about Pers...
