Hi,i was taking Metroprolol(20 mg.)for over 13 years and 3 specialists wanted me to switch to Nifidipine(30 mg.) because of Raynauds.I immidately experienced higher blood pressure and increased pulse rate and have had these higher numbers for about a month.My dr.also increased Lisinopril(20 mg.) to 25 mg.The increase also made my nagging cough worse,keping me awake many nites.My dr.has now replaced Lisinopril with Micardis(20 mg.)My dr.does not seem overly concerned about my incresed BP&pulse rate;yesterday my numbers were 138/87,101.I am 63,female,weigh 135 lbs,5'5",have no family history of heart disease.I am not as active as ii have been in past years because i have osteoarthritis in my shoulders,neck,back,hips,knees and feet and i was taken off of all pain meds/muscle re...
