Neurontin 100 Mg

My doctor has me on 600 mg Neurontin a day, plus 150mg of Lyrica a day, plus 100mg of Savella a day... I am always fog brained, drunk feeling, tired, nauseated. I have been on this combination for atleast three years now. I am however just now finding out that, lyrica and Neurontin are the same medication, and that savella is just like lyrica. I'm confused on this, I need to know if I'm being overdosed??? ## Hello, Kyleigh! How are you? I would call it being overdosed, but it does sound like it is too much for you. I am going to take 100 mg neurontin twice a day and .5 mg xanax and 30 mg remeron at night. My pharmacy has recently stopped carrying Actavis generic Neurontin 100 mg. They also said they "could not order Actavis for me". So, I ended up purchasing the Brand Neurontin. My insurance picked up some but it was still $$$. Now that I've tried the brand it seems to work better at neuropathic pain control. Just wondering in May 2015 if anyone in the USA has found a generic Neurontin that they really like or works for them? I was recently started on neurontin and even before discharge I advised the psychiatrist that I was having reactions. He felt they were occurring from starting Geodon and stopped that one. I was having discharge on Friday April 27th. Symptoms worsen and I read more on neurontin and really am concerned. I called the BSU as I wanted guidance and was told to discontinue it. I am unable to remember the start date but thinking it was possibly the Tues or Wed of last week. I REALLY am very concerned about permanent damage... It is a low dose 100 mg TID. I see my primary tomorrow for hospital follow up. HOWEVER, I could use reassurance as I am clearly very anxious and VERY fearful, especially about my memory... The only time it would really be considered too much is if you had suddenly jumped to these dosages, without ever having used them before. I took neurontin for approx 5 days - 100 mg for 2 days, 100 x 2 for 2 days and 100 x3 for 1 day. It was prescribed to me for post herpatic nerve pain related to shingles. In the middle of the night after my 5th day of medication, I woke to use to the bathroom. When I sat up in bed, I nearly fell over to the right side. After sitting for a while, I stood and walked, also staggering to the right side. I then had tingling and numbness in right arm, right side of face, lips. Went to ER and had CT Scan, MRI, echo, ekg, and neck vessel study, blood tests; and was admitted for observation. All tests negative. I thought I had a stroke. I started with 100 MG and now I'm up to 300mg twice a day for a total of 600mg per day. Still having outbursts and some mood swings of sorts...I'm not bipolar but I have a sort of flip switch that could be triggered by many things...This causes my temper to rise up. ## How long have you been on the current dosage? Started taking Bystolic 5 mg 5 weeks ago, heart date is down to 51 BPM, also put on neurotin for nerve tingling not from diabeties, started at 100mg now at 300 mg. experiencing severe depression and suicidal thoughts. I realize it's the meds. How do I reduce them without causing more serious side effects. The neurotin did not help the tingling pain, but relieved arthritic knee pain, and although my bp is down my heart rate is so low I am unable to walk uphill without shortness of breathe. Here's a link with a comprehensive list of withdrawal symptoms which you can have from Neurotin. The symptoms are from Benzodiazepine (Librium and Valium) withdrawal which is similar to Neurontin. Go down to Withdrawal Symptoms. ## As an observer of someone of someone withdrawing from Gabapentin, all I can say is that I've never seen such behavioral changes in people with Benzo addiction and withdrawal as I have in people taking Gabapentin. I was on Lyrica for nerve pain, numbness in feet while walking, pins and needles in feet when I got up in the morning, after taking Lyrica for just 2 days I had severe creepy crawlers in my brain, they told me that this was the first they had heard of this side effect. I was put back on Neurontin because I did not have any side effects with this medication when I was treated 3 1/2 years ago for symtoms of a stroke. People are asking these questions not to be told the answers off the label! I take subs, then have no problem taking any opiate!! I never had any problems! I don't know much about methadone but just swallowed one. I took about 3mg of sub this a.m with 600 mg of neurontin / gabapentin and about 4 hrs later I took the methadone and am planning on taking at least 80 mg of Roxy thru tonight. I had a false positive for amphetimine. I take tegretol, lithium, lamictyl, neurontin, geodon. wellbutrin, viibryd, zocor, synthroid, backlofin, klonipin.
