I am 35 and just started bc again. I was put on Necon 7-7-7--28 and since the day I started I have been bleeding pretty regular. I am about two weeks into my first pack. I am missing half of my thyroid and slightly hypo(on 50 mcg of Synthroid daily) . I'm not sure if I should continue taking the Necon or just stop while I'm a head. My Dr. thought it would help w my pain during my menstrual cycle. My daughter had been taking Necon 1/50 to control her acne (cysts) caused by cysts on the uterus. When she goes to a lower dosage, the acne cysts return. Recently it has been impossible to fill her prescription with the 1/50 dosage. The only thing the pharmacies carry is the 1/35 which is too light of a dosage. Is there a substitute. Her gynocologist does not know of anything.

Mom gave me pills that she claims are a narcotic and that's why they're not in the container because she threw it away. It is birth control size and says watson on one side and just a p on the other. What is it really? Like the actual name of it. ## It's not a narcotic, those are birth control pills, they are called Necon 1/35. They contain Ethinyl estradiol and Norethindrone. Is there anything else I can help with?

My daughter's blood platelets went down severely when she was on Necon 1/35.She never had a problem with Ortho Novum.Has this happened to anybody else?
