Can I have a tooth extracted if I'm using subutex? Will the local anaesthetic still work okay? Regards, Dave ## It should, since there is nothing in Subutex to neutralize it. The anesthetic used by dentists is not a narcotic and the Subutex doesn't contain Naloxone, anyway. However, I'd suggest making sure the dentist knows you're taking it, just to be on the safe side. I am having an epidural tomorrow at 1:45 pm. Is it okay to take IC Hydrocondon 5- 525 and Extra Strength Tylenol 12 hours before the injection? ## Hello, Samantha! How are you? And you shouldn't ever combine Tylenol with the Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen since they both contain Acetaminophen and an overdose of it can be very dangerous. i have been diagnosed with having a tumor that needs to be removed i am worried about if something were to happen suddenly that i would be unable to have surgery do to the blockades of nioxin that suboxon has and not subutex is this correct ## Suboxone has Buprenorphine & Naloxone in it. The Naloxone will partially or completely reverse any narcotic effects. Subutex only has Buprenorphine. I have chronic pain & have been on Subutex for years (34 mg per day) & have had a couple of operations in this time. I believe you would be much better off on Subutex. It would be worth talking to your Doctor about your concerns.
