I am taking take 30 mg morphine extended release tablets for shingles and lower back surgery. Can you also take Vicodin for pain In between 12 hour tablets? ## Hello, Butterfly! How are you? I can not take any NSAIDs due to being a gastric bypass patient and there is too much of a risk of a bleed with these drugs.. I am already on hydrocodone so I can not take any other narcotic analgesics. Is there any other non narcotic chronic pain reliever out there to supplement the hydrocodone. Can't take tramadol now because NYS classified this as a narcotic. My doctor is going crazy trying to find something for me and has had no luck so far. ## Why can't you take another narcotic? I have tried every meds since i have been told i have fibromyalgia and nothing works.a friend of mine gets narcotic pain pills and valum for the same thing and says it works great. ## Hello, Connie! When I opened the pill bottle it had a funny smell to it. Any idea as to what this is. my Dr has changed my medication fron norco to percocet, and now my feet and ankles are swelling severely. What is the difference between hydrocodone and oxycodone? ## They are both narcotic analgesics, however, the Oxycodone is stronger than they Hydrocodone. Oxycodone, by itself, doesn't usually cause peripheral edema, however, it could be the Acetaminophen, since it can sometimes cause people to retain fluids and, if that is what is causing it, it would have also happened with the Norco. Have you consulted your doctor? Whenever edema occurs, it is very important to discover what is causing it, since it can be a sign of other serious medical conditions. For kidney dtone pain i was put on 7.5 lortab and 2 days later after surgery i was prescribed dilaudid 2mg. can you take these at the same time? ## Hello, V! How are you?
