It is the only blue and white capsule my husband takes. I don't have the prescription bottle for the ones that say n on the blue side and 10 on the white side, as he uses a monthly pill case and when I fill the case and the bottle is empty, I throw the pill bottle away. I noticed his new prescription says apo on the blue side and 10 on the white side. Are these the same pills?

My doctor told me to only take the Lo Loestrin BLUE pills. However, I read that BOTH the blue and the white contain 10 mcg ethinyl estradiol. I have been throwing away the white and brown pills each month, and immediately starting on a new pack of blue pills. Now, I'm wondering if I should also be taking the WHITE ones. If they have the same ingredients and same strength, I don't want to just waste them. ## Update: I found out that although there are equal amounts of ethinyl estradiol in the blue and white pills, there is another, more important, ingredient in the blue pills. half capsule is pale blue with barr printed on it and other half of capsule has the number 159 printed both halves printed with black ink ## Just curious. Found some old capsule oval shaped pills. Why would a blue lortab 10 turn white? ## Are you certain that it was blue and is a Lortab or the generic equivalent? Are there any markings on it? Some pills may change color if they are coated and get wet, so the color washes off, but I am not familiar with any Lortab made that way. ## If it's a Watson 540, then it didn't "turn" white. Watson Pharmacuticals is changing the color. The white Watson 540 is still a generic Lortab 10/500. The blue Watson 540 will continue to be sold until pharmacy supplies are depleated then Watson will replace them with the white. ## Other than the color change, do you know what else they changed? I picked up a prescription from CVS took the blue and white capsules for a month. When I got the refill, the capsules were grey and white. I looked up the number and found that those were the minocycline 100 mg that was prescribed. I called CVS to find out why the first ones were blue and white--whether they changed brands, or whether I might have been given a different dosage that was blue and white or a different medication, maybe one with a similar number or in a bin adjacent to the minocycline. I've just bought some strips of blue Valium. They say 10 on one side and are blank on the other with a line going through it. Found 1/2 blue pill coated (white inside) imprinted with "10" on one side. It's more of an elliptical shape than oval. ## Oddly enough I found a white, elliptical, film-coated tablet imprinted with "10" that's identified as Atorvastatin 10mg; a medication used for lowering cholesterol. I wonder if the manufacturer could've changed its color to blue at some point? As we know, manufacturers can alter the appearance of their drugs without any prior notice to the public, so this is something I'd consider investigating just to be sure. Unfortunately I haven't been able to determine who the manufacturer is. However I will be sure to post back if or when I do. What is this pill? Where is it sold? How much does it cost? ## Hi Dennis, I'm not 100% certain if this is an exact match to your pill, however there are reports of an all-herbal equivalent to Viagra called Vigorous, coming out of India. Apparently they are all blue and white capsules with "vigorous" imprinted on the white side and three asian markings on the blue side. Perhaps this is what you're referring to? I haven't found any specific details on a list of ingredients or potential manufacturer, but I hope the information above can at least help to point you in the right direction with your search. I took the white M77 for years, one and a half year ago my script provder changed it to the blue 1201 v. during this time I have developed extremely dry mouth which I never had all the years I took the m77. I am concerned. My friend bought meds online. One is a white circle with "WILSON'S" on it. The other is a small blue circle with a "10" on one side. I can't find anything on these medications.
