White Pill with mylan 244 on it ## new color pill from v.a. color is blue (oval)for mylan 244-verapamil 120 mg. not white as stated on your description.My blue pillis imprinted as above. ## I have been on lisinopril 10mg for years, using whichever generic was given at pharmacy. Recently they started using Mylan (L24), and I developed what I describe as a feeling like chest pain in solar plexus, or constant anxiety. When I quit taking this it seems to resolve. I wonder if this generic is in some way inferior or contaminated!

Is this immediate release or extended / sustained release? I have migraines and this was prescribed as "3 tablets by mouth at bedtime." But if it is immediate release do I really want to be taking all 360 mg at once? Shouldn't I take 1 pill 3 x per day instead? ## Have you asked your doctor, or pharmacist about this? All our pharmacies here have switched to amneal, which doesn't do a thing except give a headache. The brand does make a difference. The mylan works great. ## Yes, there can be differences in generic medications. Once a medication is available to be made a generic, it is allowed to differ, in the active ingredient, from the name brand by as much as plus or minus 20%. The FDA considers this an acceptable therapeutic window. The problem that you can run into, of course, is that generics do not have to measure against each other, just against the name brand. This means that while one generic may be high quality and contain 100mgs of a given medication, another generic may only contain 80mgs and another could contain 120mgs. Sorry for the confusion, I wish more pharmacists took the time to explain any changes. Diltiazem is actually a generic medication, so it's manufactured by several different companies and the marking on each must be different, so that it can be identified in case of an emergency. The color and shape are entirely up to the whit and whim of the manufacturer. Thus, these are both the same medication, in the same dosage, they've just been manufactured by different companies. The one with the 93 321 on it has been made by Teva Pharmaceuticals and the one with the M 525 has been made by Mylan Pharmaceuti...

What are the differences between Verapamil HCL ER 120MG (IVAX/TEVA) and Verapamil ER 120MG MYLAN/244 (MYLAN)? ## Just the manufacturers, like you've posted. Has the verapimil Er 120 mill. been disconitinuedd. Please respond Sincerely, James Henderson ## I had my verapimil 240 filled I was given a different look it is a oblong-shaped Cap imprinted with mylan 6440. it is bluish green ## James, from the information I've been able to find, there are a few manufacturers that have discontinued making that dosage, but there are still about 5 others that still make it and have it available. Please post back with any information. ## A round, yellow tablet with an M over F1 is manufactured by Mylan Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 20mgs of Famotidine, which is a generic for Pepcid, this is an antacid. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, stomach pain, and flatulence. Prescription Drug, medium white round pill with a cross on one side and on the other side is marked with a M and below the M it is marked with a 724... The Bottle which I have the pills in is marked as: VERAPAMIL, HCL 120MG PO TAB, TAKE ONE TABLET DAILY. At the Bottom of the Bottle it is marked as: MYLAN "772 white round scoared film-coated tablet". I have some white oblong white tablets scored on one side and printed M525 on the other. I believe these are Ascend Labs Metformin HCL ER 500 mg tablets from a couple of months ago that I didnt finish up when I got my refill prescription. I've been taking lisinopril, lupin 20 mg. for a number of years My last rx was refilled recently and the pharmacy substituted it with actavis 20 mg. With the lupin, my b.p. readings were always good. With the actavis my b.p.is elavated. I have also experienced a terrible rash and intermittent hives. Could the change in meds have caused this? Yesterday I was prescribed verapamil. (haven't started to take it yet). The pharmacy has filled the prescription with verapamil-ER 120 mg MYLAN. I have severe chemical allergies (paraphenadiamine, Balsam of Peru, methylcloroisothiolizone, quinoline mix and wool alchohols).
