Will the side effects of MS Contin, (eg nausea and tiredness ) subside after time. I have been prescribed 10mg x twice a day but find the sickness and tiredness is still an issue and hope it is temporary and will settle down. ## Hello, Hamish! How are you? I have a spondylolisthesis at L-5. My pain management doctor wants to switch me from 10/325 Oxycodone to ms contin. How much ms contin would give me the same pain relief? ## Hello Bob! Does anyone know the conversion dose when switching from MS Contin 15mg to Opana. The MS no longer works to take the edge off the pain. I have had chronic pain after herniated cervical, lumbar disks, 4 surgeries, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and daytime sleepiness, and osteo-arthritis. I previously was on percocet 10mg one 4 times a day..it was no longer working but due to new state and federal regulations my Dr wouldn't give anything stronger and informed me as of 9/1/2016 would no longer treat pain except with Tylenol #3 or Tylenol #4. Am looking for a new pain management doctor who is willing to prescribe ms contin and/or norco 10mg. I suffer from chronic pain: polymyalgia rheumatica, migraines, osteoarthritis, etc and am in need of these to get out of bed. The pain is debilitating. I live near Schaumburg,Illinois. I've been working to reduce my reliance on pain medications with my doctor's help. I've been able to come down from 200mg morphine sulfate to 15mg MS Contin. The doctor said he was happy where I was but I wanted to try and go further. He wrote a script for 10mg Kadian since a lesser dose of MS Contin wasn't available. Unfortunately, my doc's son died suddenly and he's away. I cannot find a pharmacy that is able to fill this prescription. I live in a metro area. I just moved to Fredericksburg/DC Metro area of Virginia from Florida. I have severe chronic spinal pain from bulging lumbar discs, bone spurs, spinal stenosis and scoliosis (in mid/upper spine). My doctor that was treating me in FL had me on 60mg MS Contin 2xday and 10mg Percocet 4xday. Which makes it able for me to function with a lowered amount of pain. I went through 3 other doctors over the years that prescribed too little or too much before I found him. I would like to find a doctor/pain clinic that will prescribe me the same or similar in/around the Fredericksburg/DC Metro area of Virginia as opposed to having to drive back to my Florida doctor every month.
