Mild Luminal Irregularities
9 Topics FoundI had my angiogram done and my Dr said it was normal with minor luminal irregularities. EF 50-55%. I'm on aspirin 100mg, amlodipine 2.5mg, atorvastatin 10mg, metformin 250mg TDS. Plus I'm allergic to NSAID's. After the angiogram I also developed hematoma on my right hand, showing acute obstruction (length 5cm) with retograde flow. Please advise. ## The mild luminal irregularities mean that you may be developing heart disease. The NIH lists the typical side effects of these medications as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and joint/muscle aches. What caused the hematoma? How are they treating it?
I was diagnosed with mild luminal irregularities throughout the left and right coronary system. Can anyone please explain what this means? ## This is considered having heart disease, a mild form of stenosis. To put it in more easy to understand terms, it's an abnormal narrowing of the cardiac arteries. The term "lumen" refers to the inside space of a blood vessel through which blood flows. An irregularity in the lumen can mean a variety of things but often refers to changes in the shape or smoothness of the artery's interior surface. This could be due to the buildup of plaque, which is a common cause of coronary artery disease. Has your doctor suggested any treatment or dietary changes? ## I have just been told I have minor luminal irregularities in my right coronary art...
Left coronary angiography and right coronary angiography. Coronary arteries: the coronary circulation is right dominant. Left main: No evidence of obstructive disease. LAD: lARGE. No evidence of obstructive disease. Left circumflex: Medium-large. Mild luminal irregularities. Right coronary: Moderate-sized. Mild luminal irregularities. Left ventricle: the estimated EF is 50 - 55%. Wall motion is normal; there are no regional wall motion abnormalities. I am told I have a cardiomyhopathy because my EF is 48% on echo and 50-55 on cath. I am 55 with hypertension and a LBBB. I don't know what to think, but I am worried sick because was told by one cardiologist that I am at high risk for sudden-death heart attacks, mostly commonly happening in my sleep. I drink very rarely and excercise fo...

My cardiac catheterization showed "minor luminal irregularities" in lad, circumflex, ramus, with co-dominant coronary circulation. What does that mean? ## Minor luminal irregularities refers to an abnormal narrowing of the arteries of your heart, according to the AMA. Co-dominant refers to how your heart pumps blood, meaning it is using both of the proper ones, making neither major artery dominant. This is usually considered mild heart disease, due to the luminal irregularities. The term "lumen" refers to the inside space of a blood vessel through which blood flows. An irregularity in the lumen can mean a variety of things but often refers to changes in the shape or smoothness of the artery's interior surface. I had a cardiac Cath and the summary says LM minimal luminary irregularities LED minimal luminal irregularities lcx minimal luminar irregularities RCA minimum irregularities and LV mild Global hypokinesis EF 50% elevated lvedp what does this mean ## Hello, Debbie! How are you? Did your doctor not explain anything? To keep it simple, luminal irregularities refers to changes due to atherosclerotic plaque, the word minimal refers to how much there is, in this case, they didn't see a significant amount, but there is some, so lifestyle and dietary changes may be needed to prevent future worsening. The LV mild Global hypokinesis EF 50% elevated lvedp refers to the injection fraction of your left ventricle. Generally a rate of 50% or lower means that your heart pumping as good as it should...
