I take Metoprol Tar Tab 25mg 2x daily. is Metoprol er 25mg okay for me to take until my doctor refills mine? ## The ER stands for extended release, which means that the medication is slowly released, rather than being released all at once, so it may not work as well for you as the one you were taking. Learn more Metoprolol details here. Have you tried checking with your pharmacist or doctor? They are the same medication, but as I said, the time released may not give the same control, since it's released more slowly and there is a chance that it could cause you some problems. Are you taking it for high blood pressure?

Is the best time to take this medicine in the morning or night? ## Has your doctor made any specific recommendation? However, it can cause some drowsiness and dizziness, in some people, as a side effect, and in those instances, it may be necessary for someone to take it at night. ## I am taking Lisinopril @20mg and also i am taking Metoprolol tart 25mg tab myl, my question is why do i take two High bloodpressure pills? My previously "no problem, small-dose aspirin", A-fib has become a problem; increasing, intensifying episodes of what my Dr. says is Paroxysmal A-fib, with weakness, fainting, sweating, trouble breathing. He prescribed this medication, taken one-half tab twice a day. I used to have low blood pressure but it's been normal, sometimes high, lately. I also have D.I.P., Fibromyalgia, take Tramadol & Klonapin. ## It is normal for your blood pressure to go up, when something is causing your heart to work harder than usual, so the changes you've experienced aren't surprising, though they do need to be carefully controlled. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, hair loss, and hypot...

I have been taking metropolol 25 mg 2x/day for years. My tablet has been oval shaped with what looks like an "m" then a center score and a script looking "B" under that when the pill is held upright. My latest refill is round with "M 18" and the other side is center scored. Are these the identically same medices? It is so difficult with so many generic medicnes being white tablets. It is scary wondering if you get the same medicines. ## Hello, Diana! How are you? Sorry about the confusion and yes, you're right, it can be quite confusing. The Stxyn is for ED and the Metropol is being used for blood pressure problems. ## There are no interactions listed between these two medications from what I can find. I started Metoprolol Tartrate 25mg being one tab every 12 hours. I was in the hospital with a blood pressure of 200/130, sometimes higher with a high pulse and irregular heartbeat. I experienced tightening in chest, slight difficulity in breathing, and extreme variables in my pressures. If you're taking it for high blood pressure, you might not be able to take Adipex, because it is a stimulant that can cause elevated blood pressure and heart rate, which may put you in danger. It can also cause other side effects, such as nervousness, insomnia, dizziness, headache, irritability and carries the risk of being habit forming. There are no interactions or problems listed between these two medications, that I can find, but I strongly urge you to check with your doctor, before taking the Adipex to make sure that it is safe for you to do so.
