Can there by that much difference? ## There can be fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredient from one generic manufacturer to another, so there is a chance that there is enough difference in the dosage to cause you to experience such symptoms. Are they both the regular release formulation of the medication? No ER, SR, XR or anything like that listed on the prescription bottles? ## There is nothing else on the bottle, like ER, etc.

For example: Metoprolol manufactured by AstraZeneca comes in 25, 50, 100, and 200 mg dosages... All of those are White. But Mylan Pharmaceuticals manufactures METOPROLOL TARTRATE in 50 mg (which is Pinkish Red with M over 32 on it), and 100 mg (which is a lighter Blue with M over 47 on it).
