My 2.8 year old daughter is having loose motions (4-5 a day) since three four days but she is eating normally n doing everything according to her routine, I haven't given her any medina yet but am giving her ORS so to avoid dehydration. Should I give her any medicine and please tell which one. My 21 months old daughter was suffering from vomiting so I gave her ondem now her vomiting stop. Another she is suffering from loose motion. She usually go once in day but now she is going 3 or 4 times in day. I am giving her Ors and lemon water, milk,yogurt, banana and cereal. my daughter is 3 yrs old suffering with loose motion (like water) from morning 7 times given metrogyl syurp 5ml twice and Econorm twice. but, no improvement can u suggest me. ## When it involves a child like this, a doctor needs to be consulted. Diarrhea in a young child can lead very easily to dehydration, which could put their lives in danger. I can't stress it enough, when it's a real issue like this involving a young child, please seek medical attention. Do not post on a free website and wait for help. There are always those of us on here that are happy to help, if we can, but we can do nothing over the internet to help with a situation that could become life threatening. Can somebody tell me what is it for. also what may be possible side effects of drug. what if we stop uses of this medicine.
