What is the proper way to stop taking Prazosin? Can you just stop cold turkey? What are the side effects of quitting this drug? ## Why were you taking it? If it was to treat high blood pressure, or a cardiac condition, then it might not be safe for you to stop taking it, since the FDA warns that stopping it could cause dangerously elevated levels to your blood pressure, and heart rate. Can Prazosin make someone feel high, and what kind of high would it be? Because I am feeling something after every time I take it. ## Hi Kayluh - Well, this is a blood pressure drug, so what you are feeling sounds more like a side effect of the medication. The page for Prazosin Details lists dizziness and vertigo as possible side effects. Is what you are feeling like being kind of light headed? Or are you feeling more of a "rush" from this drug?
