I'm searching for a current list of generic Adderall manufacturers (2020). ## Hmmm, aside from calling pharmacies and finding out which brands they stock, it might be possible to stitch together some information based on a couple of different sources to get a rough idea of which companies currently manufacture generic Adderall. For example, if you search this site's NDC database for Amphetamine (one of the ingredients), it gives you a lot of results. Next to each result is a date, so if you go through the pages and look for the more current dates then that could give you an idea. Also, DailyMed has a similar list but I don't see dates unless you click on each record. Okay I was prescribed Adderall IR and my first script happened to be Corp Pharma. I can honestly say I thought it was horrible. This month my pharmacy had the orange footballs 974, from Teva, 110% better. I do want to try Sandox because everyone says how great it is, but right now after taking Corp for a month, I'm not complaining about getting Teva. ## I am very glad that you've found a product that works for you. Many pharmacies use whatever companies products are currently available to to dispense. Shire's name brand products are often covered under all but a few insurance companies. It is the "most effective" in Shire's opinion. Teva, a Israeli pharmaceutical firm, as well as others make generic off shoots of mixed amphetamine salts cocombinations. They may be in short supply in areas. Small independent pharmacies are not allotted as many of these CII stimulates. Paying cash is preferred by pharmacies if generic substitutions are not marked or not in stock. One takes what one can afford or even find. When you know which one works for you, you should keep track of who manufactured it and go back to the same pharmacy you got it from. It is time for the FDA (the US. Government ) to take action on requiring Pharma companies (manufacturers) to set standards for all Adderall brand medications. it is absolutely impossible to determine who makes the real pill and the contents of the medication. I have been misled (lied to) by several pharmacists. Many patients complain about the effects of one brand or another. Suffering from ADHD and its other cousins is painful enough. Most of the post I'm reading are blasting the teva generic. I have tried core pharma's 30mg round pink tablets, and yes the ingredients are different between the two manufacturers, teva and core pharma. I've taken ADD medicine for six years and can tell you they are different. If it's hard for you to get up and get your day started try core pharma. If your up and in a slump and it's around 4pm take teva and you'll notice exactly what your supposed to notice. Teva is pure relaxation and focus where core pharma is harsh and cortisol inducing. I would like some input on Adderall 20 mg Instant Release. I have been through four manufacturers. I was on Activist and lots of people did not like it, however it worked for me. It had its fault but in the end it was recalled. Sometime during that period Teva bought out Activist. Since then I haven't been able to get an instant release to work without bad side effects. Does this generic version have the same effect as the brand adderall? Just doesn't feel the same so far. Should I take more to regain the normal effects? Or is it just hopeless? ## @Newton, Generics can be tricky with regards to their potency. Not many patients are aware of this, but apparently the FDA allows dug manufacturers to have a 20-25% variability in the amount of active ingredients that they put into their generic tablets. Although some generic versions can be better than others, I believe this is why many people don't feel like they get any relief from them. My usual generic Adderall 10mg pill is usually a round blue pill. It's manufactured usually by Aurobindo and sometimes the pharmacy will give me one manufactured by IMPA (I'm assuming it's an abbreviation). This time, I was given a round light green pill with the numbers 443 and what looks like a smushed letters MP on it. The manufacturer is Northstar (formerly Sun Pharmaceuticals). Is this safe? I am not sure how Mallinckrodt's generic products (quality) are in general, but if you take generic Adderall IR, it is horrible! Very weak, with an obvious lack of efficacy. I've tried and used Teva/Barr, Lannett, Core pharma, AURO (worst imo), and now just got Rhodes. Not sure if Rhodes is making me spacey, sleepy, anxious and low energy, bloated, headache. Hello, Currently, as of March 21, 2016, I have been unable to get my 30mg Adderall generic filled after visiting over a dozen pharmacies in the Atlanta, GA area. I have blue capsules that say adderall xr 30 mg on them but they have only white beads. Is this generic or brand? And how are these different from the orange 30 mg adderall xr with the white and orange beads? ## @Ricky, When you switch between different manufacturers, the only noticeable thing I'm aware of that actually changes are the inactive ingredients (binders/fillers), so that could be one reason why the beads are different colors - different dyes? I was just told by a costco pharm. that d-amphetamine salt com xr has been discontinued ## It hasn't been discontinued, but there is a current supply shortage, reported to the FDA by all manufacturers. As supplies improve, they are shipping it to various pharmacies on an allocated basis. In the meantime, the only thing I can suggest is checking with various pharmacies to see which one has it in stock, or talking to your doctor about using an alternative medication in the meantime. Are there any other questions or comments? ## Dextrose-amphetamine salt is not the only ingredient, so even if it was cancelled, which is is not, it wouldn't discontinue Adderall.

Does anyone know which generic manufacturer CVS commonly has in stock for both IR and XR Adderall (Amphetamine Salts)? I know they used to carry Mylan for the IR and it's awful. They also used to carry Actavis for the XR which is also terrible, but I don't have many pharmacy choices with my insurance.. and I'm nervous that I'm going to get stuck with Actavis/Mylan... if anyone has any info I'd appreciate it.
