I have ankylosing spondylitis and have been taking Beline capsules for nine months with remarkable results. I am largely pain free with an all round feel good benefit. Even a very long standing skin rash has disappeared. When I stop taking them the pain returns quite noticeably. Nonetheless I have strong reservations about herbal medications and intend to consult with my Rheumatologist shortly. For many years, Fiorinal with Codeine "Brand" capsules knocked out your headache with no side affects and allowed you to be productive. Since the last year or so since Watson became "Activis", this drug is not the same. They don't work as well, do not knock out the headache. I've heard it might be the "fillers", or maybe they are not making them strong enough. I imagine the generic form are not as good also. It is a shame that we sufferers have to deal with this. I was prescribed Librium for alcohol withdrawal but the pills do not work. There is only a simple "25" on the pill. Are they placebos? ## Librium isn't a very powerful benzo, albeit the first one ever created. Based on the fact that they do come in 25mg capsules they are probably real. If you're going through alcohol withdrawal it's not going to be pleasant.. even WITH Librium. It's probably still working in the background of your mind and nervous system, preventing convulsions and helping tremors, although you may not realize it. Long story short I had mega dose chemo (pen inj. & capsules) daily for 365 days. Almost killed me but afterwards when I took the pain med Oxycontin for the very 1st time I did not feel it till I reached unreal 500mg level. Then it was a miracle. It might be 50mg Tramadol. Mine have no matkings at all. Tramadol is an opiate, stronger than Codeine, but weaker than Morphine. I take 8 capsules a day, 2 every six hours for a trapped nerve in my hand. Does anyone take Kadian? How is it? How long does it last? It is not very strong to me. ## In response to the question about Kadian, I have taken it in a dosage of 12 to 20 100mg capsules per day. It is basically morphine sulfate, and the thing I do like about it is that it kills the pain more in the body as opposed to the brain, so you feel more normal. The down side is that is makes you sleepy sometimes, causes more constipation than Oxy, or Feninyl, and has a ceiling around 2 grams/day, in other words beyond that amount there is no additional relief when taking more of the med. Overall, I have found that I can take it once a day along with 4 30mg Oxycondone IR in the morning and two to four 10mg Valiums at bed time. puppy just had pill in mouth that smells like garlic and powder got in her mouth ## Are you sure it's not just a garlic supplement or multivitamin? I actually happen to have a garlic supplement in tablet form (and it smells obnoxiously strong in close range), but I wouldn't doubt it if supplement companies have clear capsules too. There are also multivitamin capsules that are clear and have a rather strange smell to them. If it distinctively smells like garlic, I think that's what it may be.
