Chemical wise they are essentialy the same. Hydrocodone(5mg)/Acetaminophen(500mg). Each manufacturer may use different fillers for there pills but, you will be recieveng the same dose from either one ## Hi Loiselle, Thanks for sharing this bit of information! That slight variation of inactive ingredients seems to have such a big impact on how the drug itself is metabolized and used by your body. Unfortunately, I think these fillers are part of the reason why so many people react differently to the same medications and experience different side effects. Does anyone else have thoughts on this?

Started with M358 7.5 Hydrocodone next time I was given pill 3594 and didnt think that it worked as well . I have had it three times now for low back pain and today back to M358. Is it simply the manufacturer? ## Both tablets contain 75mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen, but there can be fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredient from one manufacturer to another, so you may just not be getting as much in the ones with the 3594 V marking from Qualitest. blue oblong 3596 ## The pill in description is Vicodin (750 mg - 7.5 mg), however I could not locate a blue oblong pill. I was only able to find white oblong pills. I have seen Vicodin come in other colors, but I believe they are manufactured by another company. For more information about this drug, please refer to the link below... oval white pill with v on one side and 3596 on other ## was changed from norcos to the vicodin 3596, wondering in there is more or less codien in them before taking ## NEITHER ONE HAS CODEINE IN IT!!!! Norco contains exactly the SAME ingredients that Vicodin does!! Please note the V on the pill DOES NOT stand for Vicodin. It stands for the pharmaceutical company: Vintage Qualitest. The pill marked V 3596 contains Acetaminophen 750mgs and Hydrocodone 7.5mgs. Exactly the same as active ingredients as the Norco did. The only difference is who manufactures them and possibly the dosage, if your doctor changed it. Hydrocodone is still a narcotic, but much stronger than codeine. ## is is safe for me to use my medicade card to fill out my norco 10mg scrip even if my dr desn't take medicade ...

A v in this case does not stand for Vicodin, it stands for the manufacturer, so I need to know if there is one on there to give you a positive id. ## yes it has a V ## Thank You! In this case, this is a generic for Vicodine, it contains Acetaminophen 500mgs and the narcotic Hydrocodone at 5mgs.

I've found that i have to take twice as much of this medicie to get the same effect as the m357 hydrocodone, it's not the same ## The pill in description marked 3592 is Acetaminophen (500 mg) + Hydrocodone (5 mg). As for the other pill in description, marked M357, it has the same dosage that is Acetaminophen (500 mg) + Hydrocodone bitartrate (5 mg). It could be the bitartrate making the difference. V/3592. Sorry didn't write down pill first time. ## The size is listed as 17 mm on the NDC page 67544-269, so what ray listed is correct. Warsaw - check this site's half life calculator, it lists the average half life of Hydrocodone at 5 hours, or around 2 days for a single dose to be fully eliminated. Hope this helps!
