I'm diagnosed by Neurologist as having Chronic Daily Headache What's wrong with the meds? ## Lyrica is not actually a straight analgesic, like a narcotic or NSAID, so you are not going to feel the same effects, as you would from something such as Oxycodone, or Acetaminophen, which are straight analgesics. Lyrica contains the active ingredient Pregabalin, which is actually an anticonvulsant and, by the very way it works on brain chemicals, it has also been shown to help with some forms of nerve pain. i take 450mg morning/450mg evening my pain never gose away,i also take oramorph x120ml over 24 hours plus other medication for my pain 140mg oxycontin morning/140mg evening, any ideas what can stop my pain as my life is up the wall ## Have you tried Fentanyl? It's a very potent narcotic that's available in several dosage forms, including a time released patch, but it is over 80 times stronger than Morphine. Its effects are similar to those of other narcotics in that it can be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. for pain and inflammation ## This is an anticonvulsant that is used to prevent seizures, and to treat some mood disorders, as well as some forms of nerve pain. The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, mood changes, and weight changes. But they will not help with inflammation. Is there anything else I can help with?
