Side effects of getting off of hydro codons ## I haven't taken Hydro's for 5 days. The only side effect I'm having is a lot of fatigue. I don't want to do anything because I get so tired and a little restlessness at night. Before I go to bed, I drink a cup of Sleepy Time tea, take one Passion Flower pill 250MG & before I know it, I want to go to bed. The side effects that some people may experience when you stop taking Hydros may be: cold flashes w/goose bumps, excessive yawning or sneezing, extreme drowsiness, diarrhea, insomnia, involuntary leg movements, mood changes, muscle and bone pain, sweats and strong drug craving. A few years ago I had a lung removed due to lung cancer. I was put on hydrocodone 7.5 500. I was off work for 10 weeks and in pain for several years including now. I found that stretching and massage therapy on the scar line and above and below the line all around my left side helps me with the pain. The pain is now tollerable. However getting off the hydrocodone is much more difficult than I thought. If I just quit, I take 4 a day, I get diarreha for several days. I can deal with that. But I get insomnia and restless and very tired and depressed. I end up back on the stuff in a few days because I feel so miserable and the soreness in my rib and shoulderblade gets worse. I have relocated to the Auburn, Calif. area and am in dire need of a doctor who will pick up where my Florida pain management specialist - fellowship - left off. I need certain procedures done, such as heat ablasion every 6 months. I have been on 10-350mg Hydrocodone for 7 years after a fall backwards from steps onto cement, which resulted in a coma, 9 days in the hospital learning to walk after 4 vertebroplasties. Hi, I'm a 27 year old male with 2 thoracic disc protrusions, 1 lumbar protrusion, also have facet disease through entire spine. Also cord impingement in both of the thoracic disc areas. My question is that I'm currently on three 10/325 hydrocodone a day, but I'm finding im needing more than the 3 a day to manage my pain. Is it possible or safe to take 4-5 of these a day? My family doctor subscribed 10mg Hydro's for me for continuing pain from a lumbar x 4 back fushion. He told me that these were DOT exceptable providing they did not cause drowsiness. Now that he can no longer do DOT medicals with the laws being changed the new DOT Doc says I have to stop taking them even when prescribed and not at work! L8RS ## Actually, if it's been more than 4 days, you suffered a recent injury, are taking a narcotic pain medication and the other options haven't worked, then you need to consult a doctor. I've been on hydrocodone 10/325 for about a year and take 3-4 per day. My pain issues are no more, and I want to stop using the hydrocodone. I have pretty bad withdrawal symptoms after about 12 hours of non-use. How long do the withdrawal symptoms normally last? Would I be better to taper or just stop using the medication cold turkey. ## I'm no doc, bt was on that medicine for a while, bt didn't ever hv bad withdrawals. . I take 4 hydrocodone 10/375 a day for neck pain. It is getting filled as norco now. Is there anything else that might not cause so much stomach or intestinal pain and discomfort? I have never had any luck in the past with Darvocet or Percocet.
