Lo Loestrin Fe Missed
93 Topics FoundI was on vacation and forgot to take my blue pills the first two days. I doubled up the next two days based on what I remember (I was in Mexico with no access to internet). Instructions however say if in week 3 or 4 to just start a new pack. I already doubled up. What should I do?? It was end of week 3. ## Hello, KatKlub13! How are you? Unless your doctor instructs otherwise, you could just continue taking them, but make sure to use a backup method of protection, until you've taken 7 days worth of the active tablets, without missing any. The FDA lists the typical side effects of oral contraceptives as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, PMS-like symptoms and breakthrough bleeding. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thank you so much - I doubled up a...
I started Lo Loestrin Fe four months ago. I am currently in the first week of my fourth pack. The first month, I had brown spotting for about 5 days two weeks before my period came. My period during the first pack lasted around 7 days, like it usually does, and arrived on time. The second pack, I had brown spotting instead of my period. I took a pregnancy test and it came out negative. However, my period then came the second week of the third pack (which was really weird to me because my period always came during the last four pills of the pack). At the end of the third pack, I had three days of brown spotting when I was supposed to get my period. I am currently on the first week of the fourth pack, patiently waiting to see what will happen next. Can my diet and exercise have something ...
I've been taking Lo Loestrin Fe at the same time every day consistantly for two months with no period... is this normal? ## Yes, it can be. These do contain hormones, to prevent pregnancy and they can affect different people in different ways. Some women will menstruate regularly and some won't. There is really no harm in skipping, but if you are concerned about it, you should consult your doctor. Many women use their birth control to skip their menstrual cycle, especially for important events, such as marriage or vacations. Have you contacted your doctor? ## i started taking lo loestrin fe the first day of my last period and during the 3rd week i had unprotected sex with my boyfriend. i had been having breakthough bleeding. Is this okay? id missed one pill at the beging of the ...
lo loestrin fe missed 1 blue pill and took the next blue pill at night when I usually take them in the morn. What do I do now? ## Hello, Ck! How are you? You should take your next dose at the regular time. You generally have a window of about 24 hours, before it's actually considered a missed pill, so you should be fine to just continue as normal, unless your doctor specifics otherwise. The FDA lists typical side effects of oral contraceptives as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, breakthrough bleeding and PMS like symptoms. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I missed one blue pill once in my last two packs. Both times I doubled up on the pill to catch up as per the instruction sheet. Is it a problem that this has happened two packs in a row?
I've been taking lo loestrin for for about 6 Months now. I have always got my period on the white/ brown pills. This month I never got my period. I'm on the 4th blue pill on the next pack and still nothing. I took a pregnancy test 2 weeks after and it was negative. Is this normal to miss a period / should I be worried? ## Hello, Lo! How are you? Yes, skipping a period can be normal, when taking oral contraceptives, some women don't have them, at all, on this one. There's no reason to worry, unless your doctor feels there's reason to be concerned. The FDA lists the other typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability and PMS-like symptoms. Is there anything else I can help with?
I missed one white pill. So I took it at the same time I took my other white pill. Was that right? ## Hello, Miy! How are you? You should take it as soon as you remember and, if you don't remember until it's time to take your next one, then take them both at the same time. But please remember, every missed pill increases your risk of pregnancy. Is there anything else I can help with? ## So I'm in my first week of my pill packet. I've been taking the pill for a couple months now, straight. I haven't missed a day. Today I accidentally took a white pill instead of one of my blue ones. I always take it in the morning and it was dark, I was still half asleep and wasn't looking at what I was doing.... Lesson learned. But anyway, I just noticed my screw up tonight and t...
I've been taking my pills very regularly everyday but there was one night a threw up a few hours after taking my pill and am afraid I might have thrown it up. I have had intercourse once this month but can not remember if it was before or after throwing up the pill. Well I had extremely light spotting the days of when my period was supposed to come and two days after my "missed" period I took three first reponses and they all came back negative. It is my fourth month on this pill and the first three periods were regular. Could I be pregnant? Should I take another test? ## Hi, Emily! How are you? Such irregularities can be normal when you are taking hormonal contraceptives and after several months on them, they usually do make your periods much lighter. However, if you bled, ...
Hi, I've been taking lo loestrin Fe for a while now and I'm really good at taking my pills regularly. However, this past week has been a mess. I had to fill my prescription on Monday but I was supposed to take a pill on Sunday night. So I took it as soon as I got my refill. Then I somehow missed Monday night, Tuesday night, and last night. I woke up, realized that I forgot and freaked out. I took the three pills. Then I read that if you miss three or more pills you must start a new pack. What does that mean? I already took the three I missed. If I were to start a new pack would I start on the first Thursday? (Today) help!! ## Hello, Alyssa! How are you? Unless your doctor instructs you otherwise, you can continue with this pack, but use a backup method of contraception, until yo...
I been on birth control for about a year and a half the first five months being on the pill I had my period the 6 month I didn't have it and the next too I had it and I never had my period again I took 7 home pregnancy each month my period didn't come it all said negative by the 5 months I didn't have it. I took a blood test it said negative. I decide to come off the pill and every since than I been feeling nausea sore breast...is there still a chance I may be pregnant or was it my birth control that messed my cycle up?? Help.. ## Hello, Steph! How are you? Some women don't have periods, while taking this hormonal contraceptive and it is nothing to worry about, as long as your doctor says that it's okay and your pap smears have been normal. The symptoms you're ex...
I'm on the forth week of my bc pack. Already finished with the blue pills. I missed my first white pill but took it the next day with my other white pill at the same time. And today I start my brown placebo pills. I also had intercourse the day I took both white pills. Am I protected? Or should I take plan b? ## Hello, Mackenzie! How are you? Plan B is only effective in the first 5 days, after intercourse, so it wouldn't do any good to take it now. It's most effective in the first 24 hours, retains most efficacy for 72 hours, then its effectiveness at preventing pregnancy dwindles and after day 5, it does nothing. Did you start your period? The FDA lists the typical side effects of oral contraceptives as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, breakthro...
I was supposed to start taking my new pack of Lo Loestrin Fe last Thursday but was on vacation and couldn't get it filled till today. My period ended up being longer because of all this and just ended yesterday. Does anyone know if it's for ok me to start the new pack today ( a week from when i was supposed to?) or if i should wait till my next period. Thanks! ## Unless your doctor has specified otherwise, you can actually start them at any time during your cycle, however, if you start now then you will need to use additional protection to prevent pregnancy for the first 7 days. The reason they instruct most women to start on the first day of their menstrual cycle is because then you are immediately protected and no other contraception is necessary. Well crap. I missed the last white pill. The brown are placebos so im bot worried. Im on my period now, so Im not preg (yay!)... but should I start the next pack now, or two (brown pill) days from now? ## Hello, Sara! How are you? You should start the new pack on the normal day, unless your doctor instructs you otherwise. That late in your cycle, the chances of it having allowed ovulation to occur are very slim, but you should use backup protection for the first 7 days of the new pack, just to be safe. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hi...I'm new to bc...should I expect my period the week I'm schedule to take to white and brown pills? ## Hi guys, I've been taking Lo Loestrin Fe for about 3 months. I forgot to take the last blue pill last night @ 9:00. I had unprot...
Last month I took all the blue pills but I skipped the white and brown pills. I know the 2 brown pills are just iron pills but is it bad that I skipped the white ones too? ## Hello, Kate! How are you? No, the white ones have no active ingredients in them, whatsoever, so it doesn't matter if you skip them. Is there anything else I can help with? ## The other response is wrong! I just started this pill and was confused myself. The patient insert does indicate that the white pills have estrogen! I didn't take them either! But will from now on! I wish my doctor had told me...I'm so used to the white pills being inactive! ## The white pills have *estrogen* in them. What they are missing is the progestin. Without progestin, your body starts having a period. That's why it's...
I started taking this birth control in Sept 2016. It has been great taking this pill until I missed my period on the last week of Jan and I just took my last brown pill before starting a new pack and nothing. I have cramps, but i havent started. I've been active, but we use protection every time. Should I be concerned? ## There is never any harm in checking for pregnancy, if you're concerned, but it can be normal to skip periods while taking an oral contraceptive, according to NIH reports, some women stop experiencing periods altogether, while taking them. Other side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and PMS-like symptoms. Is there anything else I can help with?
I have been on Loestrin 24 Fe for 3 months now. I had irregular spotting for the first 2 months, and probably because I was fairly bad about taking the pill at the same time every day, and missed a couple days. But this past month I have been very consistent in taking it every single day at around the same time. Despite this, I have not had any bleeding or spotting during the iron pill days....is this normal? I feel as if my body is just finally adjusted to the pill, but should I be concerned? I'm highly stressed out about this, and I took a test this morning, but it came up "invalid" though I'm pretty sure I did everything correct with it. Any help or advice would be great! I'm not in the same town as my gyno since I'm on summer break, but I just need answers! #...
I accidentally missed a Lo Loestrin Fe pill on a Friday due to being busy at work. I took a pill the next evening (Saturday) not realizing that I missed a pill. I was intimate that same night with my significant other, but I took the pill beforehand. Sunday evening I take my pill and realize my mistake and took a second pill that was missed. I've taken the pills the past 7 months without missing a pill. This would be my 8th pack and still on the first week. I plan on taking Plan B to prevent a possible pregnancy, but I wanted to make sure if in any way I was still protected and what are the chances of becoming pregnant? ## Every missed pill does increase your risk of pregnancy, though the risk is not as high as if you had missed several, or weren't using any form of contraceptio...
I am 19 years old and have been on Lo Loestrin FE for 19 months. I stopped taking the pill at the end of January. I never missed a period while on the pill, but now I have not gotten a period since the very beginning of January, so i've missed 2 cycles. I am wanting to try have a baby soon with my husband; however, I know I need to have a few normal cycles first. Is there anything I can do to get my body back to regular? ## Hello, Bailey! How are you doing? It will most like just take a bit more time for your body to balance your hormones back out on its own. However, it usually only takes about 3 months, so if this continues, you should consult your doctor. Is there anything else I can help with?
OK, so I was on lutera first for 5 months. I got off it around like beginning of Feb then I got onto lo loerestrin fe. I missed pill the first month but I still bled 2 times that month. Now I am more consistent and took every pill around the hour I'm supposed to and of course I had just 2 little tiny spots of blood, that was it and I've been cramping and no bleeding. I never missed a period but I am new to birth control pills. The first was that lutera and I'm 29 with 1 daughter. I been on this lo loerestrin fe for at least 4.5 months now and I always bled the first 3 months of it and now I have no period not even consider spotting only 2 little spot when wiped that was it tried tampon and no blood. I'm worried. I was sequel with my fiance but less only like 3 times this...
so I started lo loestrin fe 3 months ago. before starting I had never missed a period and they always came on the predicted days. When I started the pills, the first 2 packs I got my period on the white and brown pills like normal. Now, I ended my 3rd pack and still no period. This morning I started my first blue pill on the 4th pack. I am just slightly worried because I never got a period and something like this has never happened to me. I had intercourse but it was always protected. plus, I am very good about taking my pills at the exact same time each day. but once in the third month I took my pill like 4 hours late. also I have had a really odd sleeping schedule, could that throw things off? I feel like I could start at any moment. I have cramps down there that feel like period cram...
I am 33 and started lo loestrin fe as my first contraceptive pill. I was very happy for first three weeks, then I missed my period and started having severe headache and body ache/discomfort. I stopped sleeping...only 2-3 hrs a day at the most. All this while I never missed a pill, had a ph reminder set for early morning. I was concerned about missed period so consulted my gyn who asked me to continue the same. For the next cycle I did get very light period but the pain never stopped and by the end of second month I started having radiating pain in my back, shoulders and head. Finally the pain started radiating to my left arm..that's when my gyn asked me to stop the pill although the sleeplessness continued for almost two weeks after stopping the pill. In the mean time, I was tested...
