Lo Loestrin And Mood Swings

I have been taking lo loestin fe for 10 days and I'm an emotional wreck I hear something on the radio or see something on TV and I start crying, I can be laughing and the next second I'm irritated I hate this and I hate this BC I don't know what to do I also get cramps after an hour of taking it. I gained 5 pounds and eat healthy this is insane. Does anyone know of a good BC because this is not working for me ## Hello, Liz! How are you? Those symptoms can be normal side effects of taking OCs and should improve after a few months, once your body adjusts to the new hormonal balance. Do you normally suffer from PMS and mood swings or is it solely due to taking this? What has your doctor advised?

After my favorite OC, Loestrin 24 Fe was discontinued my doctor has prescribed Minastrin 24 Fe. My body did not respond well to it at all (acne,weight gain, mood swings)... After trying a few other OC's and reading so many reviews on how great Loestrin 24 Fe was compared to Minastrin and others I thought if we got enough people to vote to bring Loestin 24 Fe back, maybe the company would consider it.... It is a shot in the dark but definitely worth taking... Respond if you would like to see Loestrin 24 Fe back on the market.

I've been on Loestrin 24 Fe for about 5 years now and i absolutely love it. Hardly ever get my period and craziness/mood swings definitely at a minimal. I’ve been on Lo Loestrin for almost two months which was prescribed to me because large amounts of hormones make me very depressed. ive experienced extreme mood swings, daily cramping and bleeding, anxiety attacks (which ive never had before), and overall discomfort. i was happy to find that my first period was very light and had little to no cramping since my normal periods are very heavy and painful. however, the second period was extremely painful with nonstop cramps and heavy bleeding, is this normal? will my periods be this heavy from now on? and if so, should I switch to another form of bc? ## While cramping and bleeding can be normal side effects, according to FDA reports, they should not be that severe, so yes, you may need to try a different brand of hormonal contraceptiv...

Alright, so I decided to get on birth control four months ago, mainly because I was tired of constantly having acne (which I treat daily, and it has cleared up significantly, but I was hoping BC would help rid me of it totally), plus I was having crazy mood swings. I have been taking Lo loestrin for about a year now. Recently I moved to Oregon and skipped two periods by back-to-backing packs. Since I have done this I have noticed severe cramping and mood swings right around when I should be on my period. So this month I decided to try and have one to get my body to stop being so harsh when it usually isn't. Here is the problem. I am not starting. I am about to start the blue pills again and there are no signs of spotting. I am particularly nervous because last month I was all over the place with timing of my pills. My doctor put me on lo loestin fe to regulate my cycle and help with bad cramping...in the 1st week i experienced extreme nausea,fatigue mood swings and gained 8 pounds! I am standing up in a wedding on the 14th of September and was concerned at the rate I was going I would not fit into the dress so i asked if i should stop and start up after the wedding. She said it would be okay since i only took it for a week and it would be out of my system rather quickly. I am 21 and I had been on Loestrin 24 fe for about a year and a half and I started getting anxiety and depression. I also had some vision problems that happened to me as well. After I realized that all my symptoms were because of the pill I immediately stopped. I have been off of it for about 6 months now and I am still struggling. I have had major anxiety and panic attacks and I have also had huge mood swings, foggy thinking and extreme irritability. I have no idea what is going on but these pills have really messed me up. I've been on Loestrin 24 FE for almost a year now. I have severe headaches before or on my period. When I miss one pill, my period starts immediately. I was on Yaz before and didn't have these problems. I am also experiencing mood swings on Loestrin 24 FE, is any of this normal? I am 53 and have been taking lo loestrin fe 1/10 for about two years. I stopped taking it for 2 months and have lots of hot flashes and mood swings. I have started taking junel 1/20. Yes, that would happen if you stopped taking abruptly and two months wasn't enough time to allow your body to balance things back out on its own. From what you've listed, the Junel contains twice the amount of estrogens as the other. And its difficult to say when they will stop, it could take awhile for the hormones to balance back out. I have been on many birth controls and had issues such as mood swings, anxiety, no libido, and i was very angry all the time with just about all that i have tried. I was curious if people who have had similar problems with other pills had a good or bad experience with lo loestrin. I'm 17 years old, and started Loestrin 24 fe roughly 4 months ago. Ever since I've started I've experienced dizzy spells, nausea, migraines, mood swings, and significant weight loss. I lost 7 pounds without trying (leaving me at 110 pounds) Has anyone else experienced this too, or should I be concerned about something other than birth control? ## You should definitely contact your doctor, those are normal side effects for oral contraceptives.
