wanting to get an eye opener on medication that contains opids i want to be a tech. ## Did you mean opioids, such as Oxycodone, and Morphine? The FDA lists them as carrying the risk of being habit forming, and they may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. There are quite a few, such as Codeine, Fentanyl, Hydrocodone, and Hydromorphone, and I know that's really not all. What type of tech are you wanting to become, a pharmacy tech?

Hello. I’m Rick. I was wondering about an issue with my left eye drooping when I get up in the morning. Someone mentioned it could be an eye allergy so I bought Visine allergy drops and it helps for like 3 hours then it starts to droop again, then I put the drops in and it’s fixed again. Just wanted some opinions. Also, I forgot to mention my eyebrow moves upward towards my hair and when I use the drops it relaxes again. Thanks for any thoughts. ## Have you consulted your medical care provider? Do you have any diagnosed medical conditions? Do you take any medications on a regular basis? The FDA lists the typical optical issues from allergies as including eye redness, tearing, itching, and general irritation, but drooping it not a normal issue associated with them. How much s...

Both of these medications can help lower blood pressure and it is common for a doctor to prescribe more than one, at the beginning, to try to help bring blood pressure down as fast and as safely as possible. The U.S. FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, increased urination, headache and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help ...

How close together can theses drops be used the day before catarac surgery ## Because every surgeon has their own unique set of rules to follow before and after the operation it would be best to schedule an appointment with the surgeon to ask him directly. When you schedule a consultation prior to the surgery, remind them to discuss medications that you may or may not take, any prescriptions and how to use them, and how to prepare for the day of your surgery. Additionally, the surgeon usually gives the patient a list of pre and post operative care instructions to follow before going in. These instructions include what you should and should not be taking prior to and after the surgery. If you did not receive this I would ask them well before going in. I hope this helps!

ARE IMFLAMATORY MEDICATIONS HARMFUL TO THE EYES? ## Instaflex is not an actual medication of any type, it is an over the counter supplement that is claimed to help with joint health. As such, the side effect profiles for it have not been studied, as is done for prescription medications. This company doesn't even list the full ingredients and amounts on their website, the only things they do note are that it contains Glucosamine, MSM and Hyuralonic Acid, which are contained in many over the counter products that are claimed to help your joints. As to actual NSAIDs, such as Diclofenac or Ibuprofen, visual changes and problems from them are considered serious side effects that you should contact your doctor about. I am also rapidly gaining weight and have several more weeks to go on Durezol. 8 lbs in the first 9 days. Does it stop or just keep going up? How long did it take you to lose it? ## Hello, Liberty! How are you? Since this is a topical steroid that's just placed into the eye, you don't usually absorb enough of it to cause weight gain and the FDA doesn't list it as a known side effect of the ophthalmic solution, those typical include eye redness, trouble seeing at night, blurred vision and dry eyes. I'm not saying it's impossible, but rather that it hasn't been known to happen, so far. Have you consulted your doctor? Are you on any other medications? ## Doctor did call back today and said it's not happening. My scale and I know it is. No other drugs. No suddenl...

don't take it will kill you or damage you It ruined my eye sight, blurred vision, tinnitus, headaches, falling over, dizzy all from 6 shots of this over 50 side effects and no cure for them ## Hello, Shane! How are you doing? I'm very sorry about the problems you've had. The FDA lists Risperdal as a very potent antipsychotic and such medications are well known to cause some problematic side effects, in some people that take them. Other side effects may also include nausea, dry mouth, weight gain and sedation. However, the issue with side effects is that they will wear off, they tend to improve over time, as your body gets used to a medication and will also go away, once you stop taking it, though it may take a few weeks. How long have you been off of it?

I have really bad side effects taking Oxybutynin medications for overactive bladder and diurnal enuresis (since childhood). I have tried 3 types of oral (pill) medications of which all caused eye lid swelling, dry mouth skin rash etc. after using for 6 weeks. So I was prescribed trans dermal patches (at great reluctance from my doctor as they are not approved on the NHS list due to cost) and have been using it for several months. Now I have started experiencing blurred vision & 'halos' around lights with slight eye lid swelling and finding it hard to think clearly. I took the patch off! I was given a Codoxol dose to drink. Is this gonna help me? ## Codoxol is listed as containing Codeine, Acetaminophen and Caffeine, so it is used to alleviate pain. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Ranfen is listed as containing the active ingredient Ibuprofen, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that's used to treat pain, fever and swelling. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased ...

I will probaly go back to otc patch. I see the doctor in May . ## Those are all typical side effects for Oxybutynin, as listed by the FDA. You may also experience nausea and blurry vision. I have been using Simbrinza and Latanoprost for the past year. The pressure has been good but for the past month my eyes have become red and irritated and they seem to be getting worse no matter what I do. I think it might be one of the drops. ## Hi Connie, Sorry to hear about your situation. From what I could gather, both medications list "redness of the eyes & irritation" as either rare side effects or allergic reactions to Simbrinza and Latanoprost. So I'm not sure how you would go about determining which one of those medications could be at fault. My first suggestion would be to contact your doctor about this as soon as possible in order to decide whether it's safe for you to continue using or if your doctor has any other recommendations moving forward.
