I too just received the refill for my Mom's 10 mg Lisinopril tabs from Lupin Pharmacy, and have discovered they are half the size of the ones she has been taking for years. She is 93 years old, is very feeble, and uses a walker to get around. I am extremely concerned about whether or not to give her these new pills as I have read all the side effects people are experiencing. If she was to get dizzy or lightheaded the results could be disastrous. Does anyone have an alternative to this brand that may still be the same as the old larger Lisinopril tabs? Help ## What are the markings on them? The size of the tablets are irrelevant, what matters is her receiving the correct dosage, so they are effective. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, head...

Yes i noticed the same thing my 20mg pills were half the size I used to take. My BP spikes to 180 over 120 when normaly it was 125 over 75. I think they changed the pill, my Dr switched me to another BP med & everything is back 2 normal. Everybody taking Lisinopril should monitor there BP, dont trust it anymore. ## my BP has been running higher since the size of pill changed. I was before in the normal range and now it is reading much higher. Why is that. ## Pharmacist said no worries - same drug, but I don't believe it. Signs of ED which I never had before. I'm going to call my cardiologist and ask to switch to something else. Thank goodness for this website and glad people are willing to share. ## I too am having issues. I’ve taken 20mg for 7 years with no issues. No...

I take 10 miligram Lupin tables - have been taking them 2x a day for 20 years. Today, I opened the bottle and they were 1/2 the size. Same markings on the pill and container, same color, same manufacturer but 1/2 the size. I asked the pharmacy assistant about it and she said the company was making them smaller but they were the same. I asked how they were doing that - were they removing fillers? Why did they have so many fillers in the first place. She said she didn't know, but would transfer me to the pharmacist. I asked the pharmacist and she sounded like she had been asked what the weather would be like the next day - "oh, I don't know...yeah...I don't really know." I don't feel comfortable taking these. ## Yes, in most cases they have changed the fillers they...

Are they now smaller? I'm concerned. Purchased a new refill and I'm finding the 20 mg pills are much smaller than my last refill. When did this occur? ## What are the markings on the tablet? I'm sorry, but I need this additional information in order to double check the information for you. It is possible that they changed the fillers they used, so the tablets are now smaller. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I take Lisinopril 10 mg also and my newest RX pills still show 10 mg, but they are much smaller. The pharmacist assured me that the dosage is correct. Still, it's troubling that the company hasn't provided an...

I've been taking lisinopril 20 mg twice daily for several years, filling it through Walmart Mail-Order whose supplier is Lupin Pharmaceuticals. The pills have always been pink and the same size until my most recent refill, when the size is now half of what it was previously, about the same as the hydroclorothiazide (HCTZ) 25 mg pill I take as well. Although the latter is pale peach in color while the former is pink, both pills are round in shape and the similarity between the two is quite problematic, especially for seniors like myself or anyone with poor vision, particularly when trying to distinguish between them in low light. Apparently pharmaceutical companies are legally allowed to change a pill size without FDC permission and with no requirement to advise customers of the chan...

My one year old Cairn Terrier swallowed 10mg of Lisinopril. Is this toxic? What should I do? T I have answered the word verification correctly several times now. ## Lisinopril is used in canines for the same conditions it treats in humans, hypertension, heart failure and other cardiac issues and the 10mg dosage is commonly used in dogs. Learn more Lisinopril details here. However, I am not familiar with the dosage for certain breeds/sizes of dogs, so I can only suggest you consult your veterinarian. My doctor has prescribed Carvedilol 12.5mg 1 in the morning and 2 at night and Lisinopril 10 mg 1 in the morning and 1 at night. My pharmacy recently switched to Myla and now the tablets are almost identical. They are the same size, both round and white, and both with a big M on one side. The only difference is the microscopic numbers on the other side. The potential for confusion is very high. Safeway Corp has mandated this switch. How do we get either Mylan to change or Safeway to change??? ## You can't. As long as the numbers are different, then they are within the bounds of the law. Learn more Carvedilol details here. Since I became allergic to lisinopril, I've been taking 1 losartan hydrochlorothiazide 100-12.5 daily for 2 yrs. for blood pressure. When in FL for the winter, the pill was a different size, assume mfg. by different company, and ankles didn't hurt. In NY, I get the same drug, a bit different sized, and now my ankles ache and perhaps a very small swelling on outside ankle bone.
