I have been on lisinopril for almost 3 years.I am experiencing hair loss and thining hair .first I tought It was my low iron at the beginning and the iron issue get resolved since more than 2 years.My hair loss is worsening. Anybody experiencing same thing? I've been on Lisimopril for 4 months and all my hair is falling out I'm so sad by this. Im stopping the meds and seeing my doc. I'm searching for a natural way to control your BP. Over the last few months my hair has gotten very thin, brittle, and I’m shedding a LOT. My doctor said it was probably hormones and my age (45 yo female). I started taking Biotin and special shampoos, but they didn’t help. Recently I started digging into the Lisinopril side effects and hair loss is cited. I have a round yellow tablet with LL on one side and B02 on the other. Different than previously obtained Lisinopril 20/HCTZ 12.5. My doctor took me off Lisinopril htcz because I became severely dehydrated. He put me on Metoprolol 100 mg and Doxazosin Mesylate 2 mg and now I'm losing my hair after being on these drugs for about 2 mos. My renewed generic prescription Lisinopril/hydrochlorothiazide 10-12.5 is now coming from a different manufacturer (pharmacist verified) than my original (pinkish pill) from Aurobindo. The new blue pill, manufactured by Westward, is not the same in effects. Does anyone know what pharmacies (Target and Walmart don't carry it) carry the same medication but manufactured by Aurobindo? I WANT TO KNOW IF MY HAIR LOOSE IS FROM ANY MEDS.I AM TAKING PLAZIX, LISPEOL,PRAMPEXOLE,GAPENTIN 100MG. ## Did you mean LIsinopril, for high blood pressure/cardiac conditions? If so, then it may be causing the problem, there are many medications in this class that can cause hair loss as a side effect. Have you talked to your doctor about the issue?

I expressed to my physician that I am experiencing weight gain with Losartan, however she doesn't believe me. I was originally taking Lisinopril but experienced tremendous hair loss. Since the past year, I have gained much of the 40 pounds back that I had previously loss. Furthermore, my blood pressure was more controlled with the ACE Inhibitor. Please help. I'm thinking about seeking help frim a homeopathic doctor. ## Weight gain can be a normal side effect of most blood pressure and cardiac medications, but that usually levels out around 10 pounds, or so. The FDA lists the other typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. Are you on any other medications?
