My son was prescribed hydro-apap 7.5/500 it says give 1.5 mg (3ml) for pain what's that equal in pill form?? ## Hello, Sarah! How is your son doing? You really should stick with the liquid here to be able to give a precise dose and not risk overdosing. Trying to cut a tablet to get the law of a dose would be far too risky. Is there anything else I can help with?

How long should hydrocodone liquid last 7.5-325/15 90ml? Taken every 4-6 hours at 5 mls. ## Hello, Kendra! How are you? If you are only taking 5mls, then 90mls should last for 18 doses, which if taken every 4 hours would be 3 days and 4.5 days if taken every 6 hours, but you should be aware that from what you've listed the full dose is in 15mls, not 5mls. In that case, if you were taking 15ml, it would be just 6 doses. As to how long it should last, going by days, that depends on how it's been prescribed, if it's on an 'as needed' basis, then the prescribing doctor may expect it to last longer than those time frames. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizz...

Been having sinus issues, possibly related to long term pill pain meds.... As a test, my orthopedist prescribed 120ml of 7.5/325 liquid hydrocodone to see if would help my sinus. Dosage is 6ml every 4 to 6 hours for pain. Was previously taking 5/325 Norco pills 3 times per day. While seemingly helping with my sinus, the liquid isn't helping my pain as much? Trying to find out what the 5/325 pill equivalent to 120ml 7.5/325 liquid would be. I trust my Dr, but it doesn't seem like the dosage is right? ## Hello, Uncle Jim! How are you? That is actually a slight raise to your dosage, this would be equivalent to taking a 7.5/325mg tablet. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic and lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dr...

What would the name be on a bottle of liquid hydrocodone for being 5 mg ## Hi Carol, The only brand names I'm aware of are Lortab Elixir, Liquicet, and Tussigon. However, Lortab Elixir and Liquicet contain a combination of Hydrocodone + Acetaminophen; and not just Hydrocodone by itself. Tussigon also comes with Homatropine methylbromide, which is added to discourage overdosing. One other brand name containing the same ingredients as Tussigon is Hycodan, but this has reportedly been discontinued in the US. What brand name did you receive from your doctor?

Hi, my sister was prescribed some liquid hydrocodone, the label reads: take 7.4 ml every six hours 5/5000mg/15ml. What would that be in pill form? ## That would be equivalent to 2.5mgs Hydrocodone and 250mgs of Acetaminophen, per 7.4ml. Or a 5mgs Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen per 15ml. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I have a bottle of hydrocodone/acetaminophen 7.5-325 15ml. I am use to taking a high dose of tablets at once because my body is so used to it. If i take the liquid, how much would I take for it to work? ## Hello, Lilly! How are you? You really can't keep taking such high amounts, at once, you're far exceeding the dosage limits for the Acetaminophen, which is only 1,000mgs maximum per dose. 6 tablets would be 1,950mgs per dose. It's also not safe to exceed 3,000mgs of Acetaminophen a day, due to the risk of liver damage, liver failure or fatal toxicity. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I Found a blottle that read HYDROCODOE/APAP ELX PMA I was just curious as to how strong it was, it's yellow..If that matters any. ## I'm thinking the "ELX" probably stands for Elixir, which is liquid. I have 7.5-325/15ML - How many ML would it take to equal one pill of hydrocodone? ## Hello, Katie! How are you? From what you've listed the dosage is 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen per 15mls, so that would be the same as taking the same dosed tablet. However, you should not exceed the given dosage instructions. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Sooooo is that one tablet for every 15mls? ## 15 ml is one 7.5 pill. A 5 oz bottle is almost equal to 9.5 pills.

How much hydrocodone 7.5-325 tablets is equal to one ounce of liquid hydrocodone of the same strength? Thank you ## You measure Liquid Meds by ml and cc. On the prescription bottle it states something like 5 ml equals Hydrocodone 7.5 mg/Acetaminphen 325 mg. 1 ml equals 1 cc. It is always best to use a spoon or syringe that is designed to be used to measure liquid meds. Regular spoons vary too much and you can't be sure of the dosage.

What would be the milligram in pill form of a 150 homatropine /hydroco 1.5-5mg/5ml liq ml ## Hello, Steve! How are you? The pill form would be the same dosage, 5mgs of Hydrocodone and 1.5mgs of Homatropine. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic cough suppressant, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## How much of that same liquid would i take to equal a 10/325 hydrocodone? ## If the dosage is the same as stated by the original poster of 1.5/5 per 5ml then it would take 10ml and you would be getting 3mgs of the cough suppressant homatropine and 10mgs of hydrocodone.

how many pills is this eqiulent to ## Hi John, The milliliters (ML) refers to the size of the container, or dosage, but doesn't provide enough information to answer your question. Are you reffering to Hydrocodone APAP 7.5/500 liquid? If so, I can tell you that 1 tablespoonful of Hydrocodone APAP 7.5/500 liquid would be the equivalent of one Hydrocodone APAP 7.5/500 tablet. If i add water to fill the bottle up more in liquid hydrocodine will it be noticeable that i added water to it? ## It most likely will be, because it will affect it in three ways. It can thin out the consistency of it, it can dilute the flavor and it can also dilute the color, so it's usually very noticeable when such a thing is done. Learn more Hydrocodone details here. Add to that the fact that you're going to be lowering the dosage in the given amount, so it won't work as well and it's just not something you can easily get away with. I have liquid vicodin that expired 5 months ago. Will it be ok for me to still take it? It's 7.5mg per 15 ml. ## It would be best not to do so, liquid medications can actually 'go sour', so to speak, once expired and it could make you sick, if you take. If you still need such a medication, it would be best to see your doctor for a new supply. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.
