Lipozene Interactions
20 Topics FoundIs it safe for me to take Lipozene while i'm on Prednisone? ## Hello, Ron! How are you? Lipozene is not an actually medication, it is an over the counter supplement, so it has not been checked for possible interactions with them. Prednisone can cause some pretty serious side effects itself, such as nausea, headache, elevated heart rate, elevated blood pressure and fluid retention, so it's likely best not to add anything you're unsure of, while taking it. Is there anything else I can help with?
It was seen on tv to help get rid of belly fat and I was wondering what the side effects of this drug are? ## I am looking for success (or failure) stories from people who have tried Lipozene to lose weight. ## On Lorsartan, Bystolic & Amlodipine Besylate - also Crestor & Zetia - can I take Lipozene without any problems? ## Can I take lipozene with benazipril for my high blood pressure ## Lipozene is a supplement that is manufactured by Obesity Research Institute, according to the product website. While it is touted to help with weight loss, since it is a supplement, it has not actually been proven to do so, under current FDA testing standards. Their claims state that it contains a natural fiber that absorbs water, which helps you to feel full faster, since it's claimed to e...
I have been taking Belviq for almost 3 wks now and dont feel it working like it should. I have Lipozene that i bought a gew mths ago and wonder if its safe to take both together? ## Hi Stacey, According to umm.edu's drug interaction checker, there are no interactions listed between Belviq (Lorcaserin HCl) and Lipozene (Glucomannan). Based off this info alone, it doesn't seem like there would be any issues with taking them both together. However I still think it would be wise to inform your doctor of anything else you're taking alongside whatever he/she prescribes... that way your doctor can at least have your back if anything rare/unusual does happen (god forbid). I hope this info helps!
Is there a diet pill that's safe to take while on Latuda? I really want to try Lipozene. ## Hello, Happyturtle! How are you? I'm sorry, but Lipozene is a supplement, not an actual drug, so it has not been evaluated for possible interactions and problems with medications and medical conditions. Latuda is an antipsychotic that's used to treat mental health conditions and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, drowsiness, tremors and sedation. In theory, since Lipozene only contains a type of fiber that helps you to feel full, so you eat less, you should be able to take it with the Latuda, but you should double check with your doctor first. Is there anything else I can help with? ## You shouldn't take diet pills period! My mom had 6 kids, started taking diet pills after...
Can I take lipozene with metformin? I take four 500 mg of metformin a day. ## @Pumpkinb, According to umm.edu's drug interaction checker, there are interactions listed between the active ingredient in Lipozene (Glucomannan) and Metformin. These precautions note that 'taking Glucomannan with an anti-diabetic agent may cause blood sugar levels to drop too low'. Furthermore, taking the two together can reportedly increase your risk of certain side effects. And lastly, they also recommend contacting your doctor if you were to experience any of the following symptoms while taking these two substances: blurred vision, confusion, headaches, excessive sweating, nervousness, jitters or shakes. Having said that, it sounds to me like it would probably be a good idea to contact your doc...
Ive been on protonix for a year now n was wondwering if i could take lipozene with it. Ive taken lipozene years ago with great results. ## Hello, John! How are you? Unfortunately, over the counter natural products such as Lipozene are not tested for possible interactions with prescription medications. Have you tried asking your pharmacist? They may know more. I'll do some digging around and post back, when I find information for you.
I had bariatric surgery in 2016. I lost 100 pounds, but since then I've gained 20 back and still have 70 to go. Can I safely try taking Lipozene? ## Hello DeeDee, According to the NIH and the Lipozene website there are no "interactions" between having this surgery and the medication, however, due to the fact that the surgery places a band it is unwise to do anything that could stretch the stomach. Lipozene works by stretching your stomach and making you feel full, which could be dangerous with a band installed. I personally do not think this is a good idea but there are no general warnings I could find on lipozene saying you can't. I strongly recommend that you discuss this matter with your doctor prior to starting just in case. I hope this helps. Have a great day. ## I...
I take 4mg of Warfarin 5 days a week and 5mg of Warfarin 2 days a week. I take 10mg of Lisinopril once each day. I exercise daily and try to eat right, however I can't seem to lose any weight. Will there be any ill effects by taking lipozene along with my normal medications? Thank you in advance for your time, consideration and prompt attention I know you will give to this matter. ## Hello, Gin! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having. Lipozene is a supplement that is claimed, but not proven to aid in weight loss. It has also not been evaluated for possible interactions with prescription medications or medical conditions, so there is a chance it may contain something that could cause blood thinning or elevated blood pressure and heart rate. Thus, I...
Thinking of starting the weight loss pill just want to make sure I can mix the two. ## I'm sorry, but since the Lipozene is an over the counter natural product, it has not been tested for possible interactions with prescription medications. It would be best to check with your doctor, before taking it, in order to be safe. They sometimes know more, due to the experience of other patients. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I JUST BOUGHT LIPOZENE TODAY CAN I TAKE IT NOW EVEN THOUGH IT IS ALMOST DINNER TIME OR DO I WAIT TILL MORNING SO I CAN TAKE IT THE 3 TIMES A DAY? ## Can I take lipozene even though iam on prozac an trazodone
Can lipozene and xarelto be taken together? Are the effects of xarelto and lipozene compatible? ## Hi Lynne, From what I can gather, I believe your best bet would be to consult the doctor who's prescribing you Xarelto, since Lipozene (Amorphophallus konjac) itself is an OTC supplement that has not been approved by the FDA. Source: fda.gov/iceci/enforcementactions/warningletters/ucm392761.htm The various drug interaction checkers that can be found online also do not evaluate OTC dietary supplements - They only show interactions between different prescription drugs and other OTC pharmaceuticals (which Lipozene is not). I wish I could be of more help, but information on the combination of Lipozene and pharmaceuticals is scarce, to say the least. Does anyone else here have personal expe...
I have to take equate Allergy Relief 25mg 2 tablets in the Am and Rexall Allergy Relief 25mg in the pm prescribed by my dermatollogist for a contact dermatitis that keeps coming back that they can't find out what it is that I am allergic to. I have changes to Free and Clear Shampoo, conditioner, hair gel and hair spray, dove sensative skin soap and deodorant and free and clear all detergent but I want to start taking the diet pill Lipozene but I am afraid to mix the medications and I also take metforman for PCOS 3 pills a night is all this safe to take together? ## Hi, Misty! Unfortunately, since the Lipozene is just a nutritional supplement, there's really no way to check for interactions with your medications. I did try, but the fiber it contains isn't listed in any of the...
I take 165 mgs of methadone everyday and i have gained alot of weight since. I got Lipozene to lose the weight. Is it safe to take them together?? ## Hello, Lori! How are you? Lipozene is a supplement, not an actual medication, so it has not been studied to check for possible interactions with prescription drugs. Have you checked with your doctor? They may have some idea of whether or not it would be safe. ## I would like to know if I could take lipozene and methadone together, I am currently taking 80 mgs of methadone a day. I need to know if I could add lipozene and methadone together? ## Wondering if you ever found out an answer because I have the same question I am on 90 mg of methadone and just started taking Lipozene. And I'm just wondering if they would effect each other ## I...
Can I take lipozene and eliquis at the same time? Does lipozene either thicken or thin blood? Or will it not interact negatively? ## Hello Maureen, From what I was able to find Lipozene is only a natural supplement containing the active ingredient glucomannan. The manufacturer claims, but has not been proven or accepted by the FDA, to aid in weight loss, balance blood sugars and relieve constipation. I was unable to find any scientific studies or documentation on interactions between Lipozene and other drugs. Assuming that you are already on Eliquis I can only strongly recommend that you discuss the safety of taking Lipozene. Only your primary care doctor will have access to your medical history and information which will allow them to make an informed decision on it's practicality ...
I take Lortab for chronic pain, Gemfibrozil for high cholesterol, and Bupropion for anxiety. I have gained 40 lbs. Is it safe to take Lipozene (Glucomannan) for weight loss with these? ## Hi Katie, According to the University of Maryland Medical Center (umm.edu / drug interaction tool), there are no interactions or contraindications listed between the medications you mentioned, including the addition of Lipozene (Glucomannan). However, this is not to say that no interactions exist at all, so I would still encourage you to double check with your doctor first; but hopefully this will help add some peace of mind. My best wishes to you on reaching your weight loss goals! You can do it! :D
I had a stroke 11 yrs ago and take 5mg of Warfarin daily. Has anyone had any adverse side effects while taking Lipozene with Warfarin? ## Hello, Pam! How are you? Given the fact that you are on multiple medications and have had a stroke, I wouldn't recommend taking anything, unless your doctor approves. A supplement like Lipozene is not tested for possible interactions with these types of medications, nor for contraindications with various medical conditions. Additionally, before taking Lipozene, you should be aware that the reviews listed on various websites, such as Amazon and RebelMouse are not positive. Many people were greatly disappointed in this product. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Warfarin as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of ble...
I am very concerned about lipozene is safe with my conditions, of diabetes and high blood pressure. ## Hello, Pamela! How are you? Since Lipozene is just a nutritional supplement that's claimed to help with weight loss, there is no information available on possible interactions and contraindications. Have you consulted your doctor? That would be the best thing to do, so they can help you discover a safe and healthy way to lose weight. ## I was wondering the same question? But I take it anyway just thinkin it has to do something and it does curve my appetite and make me feel fuller. I have noticed that in the past 4 months I went from 60 mg to where I'm at now 95mg and I've gained about 15lbs. I've also did a lot of research on losing weight being on methadone and it'...
I am takin latuda for bi polar. Can I take lipozene ## @happyturtle, From what I can tell, apparently there are no verifiable ways to check for drug interactions between pharmaceutical meds such as Latuda (lurasidone) and OTC diet pills like Lipozene. But if I were you, I would probably notify your doctor first anyways, since patients are generally supposed to inform the doctor of any additional substances you're using alongside the medication that he/she prescribes you. This is for your own safety. I will say though, that in my honest opinion (not to be mistaken for medical advice), I don't think there would be any complications with taking the two together since they both act on different parts of the body. Does anyone else have thoughts on this?
Can I take lipozene while on champix pills ## Hello, Dan! How are you? Lipozene is just a supplement that's claimed, but not proven to help with weight loss and as such, it has not been evaluated for possible interactions or problems with prescription medications. Have you tried asking your doctor or pharmacist? They may know from the experiences of other patients.
(Diet) would it be safe to take losartan and liposzen i am taking 1/2 of 24 mg of losartan. ## Hi wanda, From what I could gather, there aren't any drug interactions to be found between Losartan and Lipozene (I'm assuming you meant to say?). However this is because Lipozene (Amorphophallus konjac) is an OTC dietary supplement; a category that isn't generally accounted for when it comes to reputable information on potential interactions with pharmaceutical drugs. For that reason I'd encourage you to contact your doctor first and foremost before taking anything that he/she hasn't prescribed or recommended. In many cases these types of situations turn out to be fine and it's just a matter of getting your Dr's. approval to ensure safety. I hope this helps!
is it safeto take this medicine if you are on blood pressure meds that also has a diaretic in it? ## It really depends on the exact ingredient of the blood pressure medications. I did check the interactions between Metformin and several of them and, so far, they have all come up with the same warning that if the patience experiences any type of renal impairment and dehydration, it can increase the likelihood of Lactic Acidosis. Have you asked your doctor or pharmacist about this? Can you post back with the specific blood pressure medication you are asking about? ## Metropitol is my blood pressure meds will lipozene interfere with it ## my high blood pressure pills are called coversyl i take them with metformin and asa 81 also glicizide is this safe?
