Late Period For A Week

I have been on Lo Loestrin Fe for 7 months. For the last three or four months, my periods have been consistently ONE week late: Starting the first day of the second week of my active pills. I've called my doctor and he hasn't gotten back to me, but his assistant who took the message led me to believe that I'm not the only patient on Lo Loestrin Fe at their office who has been having this type of situation. Has anyone else experienced this or something similar? I'm not sure if i should be concerned about getting my cycles back in sync with my pill packs or if I should just accept that week two of my active pills will be my period week....? I started my first pack at the end of january. After about three weeks of taking the pill, I missed quite a few and decided to throw that pack out and start over. I did have intercourse without protection after i'd missed some pills and now I am more than two weeks past due for my period! My period stopped for about three months, at first I thought I was pregnant so I went to the hospital to check and I was told it negative so the doctor prescribed a medicine for me, which didn't work I later went to a different hospital and she also gave me a different medicine. I started Loloestrin fe last month. It went as it was supposed to and then I started the second pack. At the end of week two I started my period. I am halfway through week 3 and my period is still going strong. I have always had a very regular cycle and never experienced anything like this with other pills. I am 22 years old and on my second pack of Loestrin (week 2). I've never missed a period on any birth control, including the IUD Mirena... I always have very regular 7 day heavy periods, so you would think I'd be happy about not having one now. NOT the case. I am now 11 days late on my period. (First day of last period was 11/25/13).
