This is for anyone in the Jacksonville Florida area trying to get pain med presc filled. I used to live in Jacksonville FLA (6 months ago i moved away to a different state) but while living in Jax FLA i had hydrocodone & methadone prescriptions filled at PREMIER PHARMACY on 8th street (Corner of 8th street & either market street or Hubbard..it is in the middle of market & Hubbard) also tell your Dr you're having a hard time & ask that he/she FAX them to the Pharmacy..that's what i did & i NEVER had a problem getting my pain meds filled at PREMIER PHARMACY..hope this helps everyone!!

Hi everyone. I located in Jacksonville Florida and have been unable to find my pain medications for over a month. My quality of life has decreased tremendously over this short time. I've reached the point where I dread a new day arriving because that means I have to do the pharmacy crawl and be treated like a pariah. I'm 38 and have been living in chronic pain for all over 10 years but have only been taking narcotic pain medicine for around 2 yyears. I'm hoping this link works, it not please go to DEA/Florida/2012 in your search. The reason we are having such a hard time with getting scripts filled is that once again, one of the Walgreen's Dist Centers is back under investigation for overselling and 6 of the major Walgreens Pharms are also. I spoke to my pharmacist the other day and most of the Walgreen's in Jax FL are backing off of the orders for awhile due to this new investigation by DEA, drivers are being stalked and harassed, Pharmacy personal are also being threatened. It is a very sad situation for the people who really need this medication. And it is not only the oxy's, it is all pain med's. looking for a pharmacies that will fill a prescription for oxycodone in jacksonville flordia ## Good luck with that. I went to 63 pharmacies in Jax trying to fill a legitimate rx (MS / 22 yrs) with cash in hand, before giving up. I normally fill it through my insurance company's mail order pharmacy, which has never been a problem (because it's not based in Florida)... But this new wonderful healthcare system of ours has resulted in me getting dropped from my plan -- and now I'm one of the 28,000+ people who don't have insurance yet because of that website snafu in early March when I enrolled/paid. I've never been a government naysayer, but this is beyond unacceptable. Out of meds and getting sicker, but totally helpless.

How have you been checking with them to see if they have it? Since it is a controlled substance, if you are just calling them, you are not likely to get a correct answer, since they have no way of knowing if the person on the phone is potential thief, or a legitimate customer. March 3 2013 I can't find Methadone anywhere in Jacksonville FL. I've searched for five days and have called dozens of pharmacies and visited several that would not tell me over phone ## Unfortunately, the ones that did tell you over the phone likely weren't being honest, anyway. It is far too dangerous to tell anyone if they do have it in stock, due to the high risk of theft of narcotics, so they will usually just tell you that they don't have it, or don't carry it. They have no way of knowing if the person on the phone is a legitimate customer with a prescription or not, so they only way to get an actual correct answer is by visiting the pharmacies in person, with the prescription in hand. I just moved to St Augustine, Florida and I am looking for a new pain management physician. I have been taking methadone for pain for about a year. After trying several other medications to treat RA and back issues, the methadone actually managed my pain well and I need to find a new pain management doctor who prescribes methadone for pain. I would be willing to travel to Jacksonville or surrounding areas. Any help is appreciated! ## No one can tell you what a new doctor will and won't prescribe. You need to call your insurance company and ask for a list of Pain Management Doctors in your area that take your insurance. Some pain management doctors also want you to be seeing a pcp. Chances are good you will need copies of your medical records from your previous doctors.
