Also my body had no rash but yet somehow i am itchy all over head to toe, not crazy itchy but like as if something walked on your skin. I stopped neurontin on July 3, 2014. On July 7, I started itching so bad that I didn't know what to do. Does this seem like it is related? I was thinking about asking my doctor to go back on it. Would this help with severe itching and feeling scratchy all over my body? Thank you! I hope you can help me. ## Hello, Renea! How are you? If you're still itching, after several months, it likely isn't related to stopping the medication. It could happen, at first, due to chemical changes in the body, as a withdrawal reaction, but that usually doesn't last more than a few weeks to a month. Have you been using anything else new, such a soap, shampoo, or laundry detergent? Are you on any other medications? Have you consulted your doctor about the itching?

I've been taking simvastatin for about 4 months and have had a really bad itchy skin reaction, but nothing is relieving it. I do not see this posted as a side effect. Not using grapefruit juice, what else might it be interacting with to cause this great discomfort? ## I've been on simvastatin for over a year. Several months I contracted an itch. My PCP doesn't think it is the medicine, but I do. I feel like bugs are crawling under my skin. I have stopped taking it for a few days and the itch has subsided. I'm going to stay of the pills for a week then try them again and see if the itch comes back. If so, I'm telling my doctor he has to prescribe something else. BTW, I don't drink grapefruit juice. ## Many people just have problems and suffer these types of side e...

Could this be a side effect? ## It could be an alllergic reaction, your best bet is to consult with your doctor, if you are having a reaction to this med, there are other alternatives that you can try. ## Hi Cindy, This does sound like an allergic reaction, I recomend calling you'r Dr. I just started Cymbalta, today will be my 3rd day, my Dr. said that it helps with diabetic pain,(which I have) and I would feel it working within 5-7 days. Recently diagnosed with underactive thyroid. Extremely low vitamin d levels suagar levels elevated and what ever level is elevated that should be an indication of gall stones or gall bladder issues. Dr put me on 50. Mcg of levothyroxine. I went back for blood work in a month. At about the same time I had severe itching. Doctor said all levels looked good and I didn't feel as sluggish. Dr left me on the same strength but changed to synthroid. My skin itches and burns like crazy. I haven't taken any synthroid for 2 days but I still itch. How long before the itching should subside? ## Hello, Julia! How are you? Sorry about the itching problem. This has been reported by many people with thyroid issues and it could be related to that, rather than the medication. Have you consulted yo...

I used to take half an Oxycodone 5/500 as needed for cervical for neck pain and it worked fine. Last night I took a whole dose for the first time because of sever stomach pain from vomiting all day. I may have eaten something bad the day before but there was nothing more in my stomach and the pain kept me awake (but I was exhausted from the ordeal). My refill is Endocet 5-325. I guess I had an allergic reaction because my feet started burning in the middle of the night and I was going insane. I iced them in a pan of cold water and ice for as long as I could (30 seconds in/30 seconds out) until I finally felt numb and fell asleep. Woke up late afternoon to the burning itch in my feet - worse than before - and burning, itching palms as well. It was too late to go to my doctor or urgent ca...

I have been taking Lexapro 10 mg for a year. It controls my anxiety wonderfully. I started having itching (small bumps on my lower legs) which the dermatologist says are normal. I've also begun to have itching on my arms, my buttocks, my upper legs - pretty much all over. Has anyone ever heard of Lexapro causing these symptoms? ## Hello, Kathleen! How are you? Yes, it can cause itching as a side effect in some people that take it. After being on it for such a long time, if it hasn't gone away, you most likely need to speak to your doctor about trying a different medication. Is there anything else I can help with?

I am 24 years old and I have had an on and off skin rash on the top of my left foot and one on my outside of my right shoulder for the past 2-3 years. Same two places always. I have not been to the dermatologist because they seem to go away if I can leave them alone and not scratch them. When I do get them they stay for awhile because I can't stop scratching them (maybe due to stress). The past month they have been itching the hell out of me and I can't stop scratching. I have tried all types of lotions and creams that you can buy at a walgreens but they only work for a little bit then back to scratching. I asked the pharmacist for his 'expert opinion' and he said I should try something stronger like cordran tape that covers the area and prevents me from scratching it. I...

My skin itches after taking a bath. I have changed soaps and body lotions ## Hello, Sybza! How are you doing? What about your shampoo and conditioner, if you use any? Those typically wash down over the body, when you're using them and then rinse them off, so that's also something you should look into. How about your towels and the detergent and/or fabric softener you use on them? What type of water do you have? All could be culprits. Have you consulted your doctor?

Hi, Its been a few months now that I've had itching in my vagina, when I changed the washing powder it got beter, it went away now its back, I don't have access to medical practitioners, but I took a test that says everything is fine, what is it and what can I do to prevent it and overcome it? ## Hello, Chaney! How are you? Have you had any discharge, with the itching? I'm wondering if you may have a yeast infection, because they can keep returning, if left untreated. The NIH lists its typical symptoms as possibly including itching, a cottage cheese like discharge and frequent urination. It is a type of fungal infection that would require an antifungal medication to treat. Where is the nearest doctor?

I am suffering from severe itching in my inner thighs where the underwear borders touch the skin and also arm pit and groins. I had taken medicines for about three months and during this period the problem just seems gone but the same problem is back with great fury. I have severe itching especially at night. As far as I remember I had tried some yeast bread and also had been on antibiotic medicine a year and a half back. my mom was taking qualitest generic percocet for severe leg pain. recent script from cvs was labeled mallinkot . she became very nauseated with loss of appetite and a rash with large blotches and itching over face and body after taking the percocet over several days with no pain relief.. I knew the actavis brand is no good but did not put things together as her bottle said differently. Her face was swollen and eye swollen shut and red . she did not think the only new thing she was taking was her percocet. I looked at the bottle again and the description did not match the pill. I immediately went to cvs and they labeled it wrong. she was given actavis instead!!! It took 2 days of phone calls and benadryl for the severe reaction to get a new script, but not until i brought her to the md offi

I have a rash in my body, mostly my legs. I have been on xarelto ones a day for about one month. It is very itchy I dont know if taking a benadryl will help. ## It would be best to check with your doctor. If it hasn't been worsening and you haven't also had hives, then the itching may be related to the effect Xarelto has on your circulation and not an allergy, which means Benadryl won't do much. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and easy bruising. Is there anything else I can help with?
