Is This A Sulfer Drug

Is macrobid or the generic ( Nitrofur Macr 100) be related to Sulfer or Penicillin? ## Although this is an antibiotic, It does not contain Sulfur, nor is it related to Penicillin. Due to sulfa allergies, it must be stated on a medication when it contains a sulfur-based ingredient. I received a phone call today from my pharmacy. The Morphine Sulfer I take was recalled back in Aug. Now I am to take my medicine in tomorrow and they will give me fresh. Sounds odd to me. I need a sulfer based antibiotic. I get extremely severe yeast infections when I take regular anitbiotics. I ws prescibed a sulfer based one years ago and I cant remember the name of it. I'm allergic to bactrim with sulfer can I take bio-flex ## There is a risk that you could be allergic to other sulfa substances, especially since being allergic to one increases your risk of being allergic to others, as reported by the NIH. I found out that I am allergic to Bactrim, but I've taken these supplements without problems in the past and I take some sulfa based blood pressure medications without issues, but not all. Thus, I think it would be best to consult your doctor first, for your own safety. Are you allergic to any other medications?

my husband had a sulfa-drug antibiotic prescribed to him for an infection and had a bad allergic reaction, The infection is back and he was prescribed darvocet before he has surgery. I understand this also has a small amount of sulfer in it. im allergic to sulfas,sulfites, sulfers so some bi-layered pills i cannot take especially the plastic coated pills so i want to know if bi-layered pills contain sulfas in them... ## Whether or not it contains sulfa, will depend on the specific ingredients of the pills in question, so I can't answer your question from such limited information.
